Came here on a trip to SF and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The sushi is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the... staff is extremely friendly. If you come at dinner, it is very busy in here so you may have to wait a little in between orderssometimes. All credits to the staff and our favourite server Stan. He is very thoughtful & kind. Went here for date night w my bf and they were really packed so the wait time was really long. With a 4.6 rating we thought the... food must be worth the wait?. Holy heck, we make better sushi at home. Shrimp tasted like it was previously frozen, no sauce orsalt, just plain on a sushi, the rolls were 80% rice, the edamame wasn?t even salty, the tea was weak, the service people werereally nice but clearly stressed and overwhelmed by how packed it was. No complaints about the sushi: it is delicious. But I have a real problem with their being a bit cheap. I spent $40 on sushi... and was given only a wee blob of wasabi and small amount of ginger. I asked for more and was charged $1.00 for it! I've eatena LOT of sushi all over San Francisco and this was a first. Not impressed. Read more

Absolutely love this place. I go at least once a month. I get the chirashi which normally gets me some high quality fish- super... white tuna, mackerel, sometimes even ikura and uni- for under $20 at lunch! Cannot go wrong. Read more
