My nearby Sushi joint, I really don't come here enough. When I do I'm always greeted by the friendly staff. The walls are... adorned with photos of the happy customers of the past. This is a bustling family owned shop. When dining in I get to watch thechef prepare the meals from the counter. I always have lots of leftovers from the good sized portions. I had previously gotten sushi at Sushi Zen and I really liked their rolls. I decided to come back and get the Alaskan roll and... spicy tuna roll. The Alaskan roll was fine but I?m pretty sure they use canned tuna for the tuna roll (pictured) which isridiculous! When did this become a new thing to do? I have never experienced something like this before, even gas station sushididn?t do me dirty. The fish is super fresh. Their sushi rice is hands down the best I?ve ever had. Please be careful with the wasabi though, it?s... extremely strong. Lazy summer - Wonderful and refreshing, love the miso soy sauce. Great for those who like something morelight. Wasabi Hama - Lots and lots of wasabi masago on top. If you?re a big fan of fish eggs and wasabi you?ll enjoy this rolla lot. Nigiri - personally not a huge fan of nigiri but the fish is fresh and the rice is amazing so you can?t go wrong withit. Amaebi Sashimi - Super fresh and sweet at a super low price point. Comes with miso soy sauce (my favorite) and fried shrimpheads. Uni Sashimi - It?s a dice roll, sometimes it?s super fresh and sometimes it?s not. Asking before ordering would be agood move. Sunset Strip - Great for people who like a mix of flavors in one bite. There?s mango and a variety of fish. SpicyTuna Hand Roll - You can?t go wrong with this. More fish and seaweed to rice ratio than your average sushi roll and handroll. The portion sizes was amazing with the price. The food ordered dinner combination A and F. I had the combo A and, overall, the... food was alright. I was disappointed that the tempura sauce leaked and softened the tempura... But the restaurant was reallybusiness so they might have rushed when bagging everything. We were looking for a sushi place nearby to get some food for a small b?day gathering. The staff who took the order on the phone... was friendly. Order was made on time. We even got a complimentary roll, which we loved and will order in the future. All theingredients looked and tasted fresh.
