They forgot ( lost ) our order and notice until I said that it has been over 30 minutes, we had to wait 45 min for our food and... they didn?t want to tell us what was happening? the food was ok, good but not great. used to come here a few times a year "before covid" ...stopped by last night after my gf and i realized we hadn't been for a... while. as good as ever. friendly staff and bomb food. bring your friends so you can order more than one thing. some menus havetwenty things and you only want one of them... this menu has only a few things and they're all pretty solid. Was in the neighborhood and had to try this place since it was a block away from where I was and I love fried chicken. The staff... super friendly and warned us what time kitchen closed but we had about half an hour left. We got the fried okra which wasperfect. I got the 4 piece fried chicken with garlic mash potatoes and collard greens. It was all amazing. Also got a side ofbiscuits very yummy too. Came here for brunch on the weekend. The host was super nice and attentive! I had fried chicken and waffles. The chicken seemed... to lack flavor. It was crispy but definitely could use some seasoning. The waffles though was good and dense. The chicken isbone in, unless you get the breast, which I thought was the best part.. very juicy. The biscuit was good, a little sweet. Ididn?t like the coffee, but I mean it?s just the regular brew so I really don?t hold them to this. Nice cocktails, good fried chicken and mac-n-cheese; didn't like their version of gumbo. Kudos to friendly staff who were... willing to sit us outdoor by a bar opposite the restaurant and bring food and cocktails across the road. Read more

Service and staff were great, food was okay. Nothing blew us away, egg on our sandwich could have benefited from being cooked... medium with some runny yolk, biscuit was okay could have benefited from some scallions or something. Shrimp and grits werecooked well, gravy was light but was flavorful. Overall, no complaints but there was definitely something to be desired withfood. Hot sauces were the highlight and so good! While on a mother and daughter vacation, we decided to check out new eating spots. We came across the Front porch and wasn't... disappointed .
