Couldn?t fault the business lunch I had here on a sunny day in San Francisco. The location on the Embarcadero in the Ferry... Building is awesome, right on the water with magical views of the Bay Bridge. The restaurant was upmarket but not pretentious, businesslike but relaxed which made for an easy going and enjoyable atmosphere. We had multiple appetizers and a couple ofentrees, too many dishes to review here in detail. I?ll just say that all of them were excellent and I don?t think you canreally go wrong with anything on the menu. Read more

The first time I came to The Slanted Door, I wasn't too big of a fan. I came a second time, ordered new dishes, and had a much... better experience. I ordered the pork ribs, vegetarian crispy imperial roll, and the cellophane noodles. These meals were alldelicious. It is fairly pricey for the amount you get, but with the environment and service in mind, I think it was worth it. Read more

We had brunch here on Labor Day, so we expected it to be pretty busy. It wasn?t crowded at all when we arrived at 11:00, yet... service was very very slow and we didn?t even have our drinks until 20 minutes after we sat down. The food was really greatthough, and mostly made up for the service that remained slow throughout our entire meal. We tried and shared various things onthe menu and everything was good, including the drinks. Read more

The place was nice, in the ferry building with a nice outlook over the water. The food and drink were nice. Was here for a work... a lunch which was good - the place was busy, but not too loud. If it weren't for the staff trying to turn the table over as soonas we finished eating it would have been near perfect. Read more

Yes, it's a little touristy be but after a local friend suggested it we went, and I am glad we did. The menu is Vietnamese... fusion, and delicious. I live in Houston, so great Vietnamese is what I am used to. We had the imperial crispy roll and ahituna tartare to start. The roll was just right with a delicious fish sauce for dipping. The ahi was light and spicy withbeautiful rice crackers to accompany. For entrees we had the grilled ribeye, which was ok but not really worth it. We also hadthe lemongrass chicken and lemongrass pork shoulder noodles. Both of them were delicious but my favorite was the pork. Thebest dish by far was the cellophane noodles with Dungeness crab. Amazing. Service was prompt, professional and very friendly, and my wife and I lovedbour cocktails. Go check it out! Read more

Good food, efficient service, and great waterfront views. Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed sharing a couple of dishes with... friends. The appetizers (spring rolls, imperial egg rolls, etc.) were not that much different from some of the more ?hole in thewall? Vietnamese restaurants where you can have them for 1/10 the price?but I think here the prices reflect the location. Theentrees on the other hand, were across the board excellent and flavorful. Would recommend if you?re in area! Read more

This place is at the ferry building so it has an awesome view of the bay bridge! However the food is too overpriced, for how it... tastes, it can be found at another restaurant for way less. It?s upscale but service is not up to par, they?re very busy sowaiters don?t really have time for every table. Be sure to make a reservation! My favorites from here: Singapore sling fordrink, hamachi for appetizers. Hamachi was 4 pieces and it was $24 so it?s super pricey but very worth it. Everything else isjust good, the imperial rolls are good but not worth the price, the cellophane noodles & green beans were very basic. My leasthas to be the chicken clay pot, it took more than an hour to come out and the flavors was way to sweet for my liking. Read more

Great spring rolls. We were here for lunch and ordered the bed pho. It was pretty good but I feel like maybe I should have... ordered something else. I've had so much pho across the country and this was not the best one. Everything looks great though. Iwould come back. Pretty pricey, but beautiful restaurant. I also didn't have any issues with the staff. They DO validateparking for the lot across the street. Read more
