Ok the guy behind the counter was right. I shouldn't have shared lol! But I wanted to be good and watch my portions and I knew... we were going somewhere for dinner. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful and had some amazing suggestions. Theyhave some delicious fresh flavors and variety. Grab a few and the cookies to take upstairs to Skypark and enjoy the scenery withthis wonderful savory treat! Saori S. San Francisco, CA 1513639 8/31/2022 5 photos Came across this hidden gem on my waydowntown and couldn't help but pop in! Such a cute, clean and yummy shop! I tried the Ham & Cheese, Argentinian Beef & the Ajide Gallina - all 3 were to die for. My favorite was the Aji de Gallina, the flavor was very authentic and paired great with thechimichurri sauce. I also had to pick up some alfajores - let's say they didn't make it home Overall 10/10 - great food, service and drink options. They offeran overwhelming array of empanadas that are heated fresh to order. Though I clearly had some favorites among what I tried, everything was tasty. Argentine Beef: Had a lot of taste surrounding the small granules of ground beef. Thought the redpeppers were especially nice. Though after having other empanadas here, I think I prefer the chunky beef ones tothis. Salteña Steak: Hearty chunks of steak contrasted with pungent olives. Loved all the texture in this since it felt likequite a meal. Aji Gallina: Not to be confused with Peruvian "aji de gallina". No creamy sauce, instead the star is thegenerous amount of nicely spiced shredded chicken. Though well spiced, not particularly spicy hot. Ham & Cheese: Comfort food, like a Hot Pocket! Big cubes of salty ham and lots of cheese. Only problem is that the cheese busted through the bottom ofthis empanad Read more

The empanadas were very good but too expensive, I had two empanadas and one Jamaica and it was 22.50. Also, they didn?t have... that much meat inside and they were pretty small. But on a more positive, the staff was very nice and the chimichurri they giveyou with your empanadas is delicious. Read more

My wife, 12 year-old daughter and I loved this place. From the outside doesn't really catch the eye, my wife almost said no just... because she thought it was dark. Not fancy seating or anything but the empanadas are amazing, nuf said!! Seriously, they aregreat. Lots of flavors. Pick the ones you want from the display case and they finish cooking them so you get them hot andcrispy. I will certainly come back next time in the area. Will probably get a bunch to go and freeze them. Read more

Several vegan empanada options! As well as soups, salads and side dishes. Some are marked and others list out the ingredients.... They also have a few gluten free options, clearly separated. Hot flaky, yet soft, fresh, and delicious empanadas - the fillingsare generous and well seasoned. They?re toasted to order. Loveee their chimichurri that comes with all empanadas. Friendlystaff, great outdoor and indoor seating options Read more

Best empanadas in SF hands down. I tried the beef empanada and a spinach and cheese; both equally as good. Couldn't take a pic... of the beef though because i ate it too quick. I also tried the dessert empanada stuffed with banana and something else(vanilla?) Sooo good. The thing i like about this place the most, is the empanadas arent pre-cooked and sitting under glass for4 hours before it's put in the microwave for you, like some places. Instead their empanadas are made to order...hallelujah! Theres another place that sells empanadas at embarkadero, but they are twice as expensive and half as small. Ifyou're in the Mission you have to try one.. they're small enough to eat while walking around but also filling too. Bravo Venga! Read more
