We came on a busy night. I’ve read teviews that service is supposed to be great here. I felt like the waitstaff was a bit... understaffed and were hard to track to get what we needed. They came around more towards the end of our meal and apologized forbeing so busy tho so I guess that’s that. Our food didn’t arrive all at once which was kind of annoying. Spicy grilledsquid: my fav dish of the night! Tasted almost like a Thai dish with the lime & spicy Thai chili flavor on it! It was superspicy tho, I was the only one in our group who could eat it and actually enjoy it. Yay cuz that’s meant more for me! Jidorichicken: nice and crispy skin and flavorful meat. Sauces are pretty basic- ketchup & sweet chili sauce. I expected an aioli orother housemade sauce tbh like a soy sauce dip but it was good enough with the sweet chili sauce. Sautéed eggplant: I love howthe eggplant itself is chopped small. It was absolutely fragrant right as the dish was set on our table! There’s a couplepieces of shrimp so vegetarians be aware! It’s a light garlicky sauté that was pretty good. Good serving size too! Lambskewer: a little salty but would pair so well with some beer and rice! Read more

A food amount is not that much so it’s a little expensive if you wanna be full. The environment is nice and you can get free... drink by checking. Something really weird is that they don’t sell Chang’an food even though it’s called Chang’an.???????????????????... Read more

Food: decent - it's not quite Chinese, definitely fusion of sorts. The scallops were good, as was the garlic eggplant. The... salted egg pumpkin was interesting, a wierd combination of flavors that I would not order again. Really good happy hour withcheap beer and a good selection of eats Service: good, the servers were attentive. They also turned down the AC when we askedsince it was so cold. Ambiance : very nice space, pretty huge. They also had a patio which hadn't been cleaned yet even thoughit was already June in LA. Overall, I wouldn't visit again as the food wasn't unique enough to worth a return visit and doesn'tsatisfy my craving for Chinese food. Read more

A fresh fusion take on food. We loved the Skewers and the Oysters. The garnishing on the lamb skewers was delicious. I loved the... pepper and the oysters lived up to the expectations. Remember they have a happy hour on much of the food and you are going tolove the food regardless of the prices. We did not experience the wine list or drinks but they had a good option list. The placeis lively, bright and fun without being over crowded. Read more

Thanks for the DineLA program, we were able to find this great restaurant with some great seafoods such as steamed scallops and... steamed oystets at a great price at $3.98 and $2.98, respectively. The uploaded pictures are steamed scallops, steamed oystets, garlic chicken wings, W J tofu, tend cubes, sweet & sour shrimp and shortrib & filet mignon skewers. This is only one or a fewChinese restaurants that calculates the sales tax based on pre-tax amount, plus only asks for a 12% services fee, commonly knownas tips. The Chinese restaurant is also very clean, but most people do not know it because it is located on the third floorwithin the Hilton Hotel, San Gabriel. Read more

This place is awesome. It's not often I see Biang Biang noodles on a menu. And they certainly delivered. If you're not familiar... with Biang Biang noodles, they're a thin, wide flour-based noodle, often served in a spicy, cumin sauce with lamb. And that'sexactly how they served it here. They get their name from the sound they make when they slap the table when being made. Anyhow, the lamb was braised to tender perfection. The noodles we're cooked with just a little bit of bite left. And the sauce had justthe right amount of numbing from Sichuan peppercorns. I'd definitely come back and try their other dishes. Read more

High end Chinese food in San Gabriel Valley! Pretty hip place. The Eggplant and Braised Pork is the best!
