Highly recommend: The deep-fried pork intestines - crispy and crunch outside, juicy and chewy inside. First time trying here and... love it so much. I've been trying out at other restaurants but it's either overcooked or too oily. The stir-fried pork kidneyswith ginger/scallion - literally stir-fried with oyster sauce, thin kidney slices, taste just on point, perfectly if servingwith white rice. Arrived around 12pm Saturday, not so crowded. 2 big tables (5-7 people), 5 small tables (2-4 people). Rearparking lot. Read more

The OG Kim Chuy in Alhambra was closed during the pandemic. Ho Kee owner bought the business and kept the original crew (kitchen... & front) on. Apparently he was a big fan of Kim Chuy and wanted their food to live on. So, same good authentic Chiu chownoodles! Honestly, I?m glad Ho Kee did that. If you are wondering if, yes, at this joint, a limited selection of the famous HoKee BBQ stuff & the popular canton rice/noodles dishes are available according to the menu. Otherwise, dig in on the OG KCitems! Their house made fish balls, beef meat balls, & soup base from scratch are the must have. Add seaweed and you will knowthe flavor of Chiu Chow. Their garlic chives cakes are yummy but a bit on the oily side (maybe because I ordered it To Go thatit got soggy. However, eating the steamed or fried rice cakes dine-in were delicious! I also recommend the fried porkintestines, ginger/scallion pork kidneys. Probably the best in town & best to have it Dine-in. The intestines were crispy &crunchy; no funky taste at all. They did a good radish pickles as condiments too. Also must try is their chicken wings!! Fingerlicking good. Their mint leaves chicken fried rice / noodles are delicious! So many good eats. Satay beef noodles too. Yumm.Check out my photos and find the ones that hit your spot. Oh don?t miss their tasty Vietnamese coffee, that thing makes red bulllooks like koolaid. Not for the faint of heart. Parking lot in the back. Visa/MC with $25 minimum in orders. Read more
