I’ve been wanting to try Big Daddy’s BBQ for a while now and was sadly disappointed when I finally got the chance to. I... ordered the #6: four pieces of catfish and I got French Fries as my side with a pink lemonade. The catfish was very nasty andflavorless. It tasted like old fish, and I eat a lot of catfish so I know what fresh fish tastes like as well as old. The onesthey served me tasted old and I did not want to risk getting food poisoning. I took 2 bites and threw the whole thing in thetrash and they gave me the “booty” piece of the bread (which translates as the very first piece or last piece of bread whenyou open a new pack), plus I found it odd that they would give you one slice of regular sandwich bread instead of a roll, but Idigress. On a positive note the French fries were edible but I still threw them away with the fish because my appetite wasruined, I however managed to eat a couple in an effort to get the fishy taste out of my mouth. Also, the pink lemonade was verygood. All in all, I will not be revisiting this establishment and wasted $20 on a very disappointing and unsatisfying meal. Read more
I ate here once thru Door dash and once by the drive-thru. I had the links, bbq chicken sandwich, homemade mac and cheese,... beans, and fries. All were good. Pricing is not bad. I liked it. Read more
I went with the fish for 9.95. It was 3 pieces with a dip sauce nothing more. Rather disappointed in the size (thickness) of... the actual filet. They were skinny/thin like a wood pencil. Next time I'll go for a MEAT item. :p Read more
Beef and pork ribs were tastey. This place needs to really step it up on the sides; sides is what makes the meal. The Mac and... cheese pasta was completely overcooked, mushy, and oily. Slaw tasted like it did not have dressing. Baked beans were ok. Theytasted like canned pork and beans that they added to. Cornbread was literally a crouton...gave to our dogs. May order the meatagain, but definitely no sides. Only 2 stars because I kinda feel cheated out of a full meal. Read more
Brisket sandwich was dry and meat was tough. Mac and cheese was trash. Collard greens were OK but nothing to write home about... and the potato salad was warm and I would recommend trying a different recipe all together on that. The chicken sandwich wasgood. Their catfish is bomb, I'll have to go back just for catfish. Whatever abomination of their bbq spaghetti was tossed inthe trash after the first bite. I had high hopes for this place but was highly disappointed with the experience and theexpensive prices. I was really expecting better quality. Maybe it was just a bad day for them. Read more
First time today getting it. Ordered spare pork ribs, catfish (the breading on the catfish great!), Mac and cheese, potato salad... and fries. Everything was great yummy. I can say the BBQ i have had from a restaurant. Read more
I got the "fam bam",3 peice catfish (it comes with three sides, I got sweet yams, collard greens, and coleslaw), a sweet tea,... and one BBQ rib because I couldn't wIt until I got the food home to my family. Nice staff and... efficient with their time Went with the Sampler Platter for 2 w/ mac + beans $44 The chicken was a little burnt bbq and theskin had no flavor but the meat was tender. The beef was good albeit small portioned. The mac and beans were ok; just need moreof it for the same money. I'm with others on; give larger side portions; after all they cost less than the protein and canjustify the prices for the protein serving sizes.
