You go to a bar to feel good, not the case here. I was at Britannia Arms and approached the bar to get drinks for myself and a... group of friends. I was at the bar facing the bartender for 15 minutes and not once did the bartender make eye contact toacknowledge that I was standing there right in front of him waiting to place an order. I have no problem waiting, I understandthat's on par with the course when you're there in somewhat of a busy night. In this case there was no excuse. I was at thebar, there was no one in front of me. I felt belittled, and that's not why I was there. Finally after that much of a waitanother bar tender approached me and asked for my order. I think she realized what was happening and she stepped in, but thedamage had been done and the evening started on a bitter note. We are expected to be kind to our bartenders and tip them well,which I'm all for, but a simple acknowledgement of existence of a person is not a big ask. Read more

Nice enough as dive bars go. Trivia Tuesday is fun. Go for the homemade chips and dip. Not much else to eat if you're gluten... free. Read more
I’ve been here twice. Food is pretty much “bar food”, so don’t have high expectations. I knew it’s not going the best... meal ever….!!! Of course combine that with British culinary and you know you’re not eating anything special. The bangers areusually the ordinary sausage and chips are potato fries. Last time I had the stake and kidney which I regret ordering it. Thistime I thought I’ll try something else. I didn’t have the Shepherds pie but I’ve heard from others it’s not that great.We ordered four different meals. The stake sandwich looked ok. The Cornish pastie was super dry and we had to ask for extraGarvey and that didn’t help either. Same thing with the chicken pot pie it was too dry. The side veggies were steamed. Iusually pick on my family’s dishes when there’s veggies but these looked nothing appetizing so I didn’t even bothertasting them. I ordered the Patti melt which I think it was the most better looking of all four meals and yet not the best Pattimelt out there. The Patti was much smaller than the rye bred and the bread was somewhat to the burned side and greasy. I ordereda side salad but the lettuce was old and turning yellowish red around the edges. I ate my food because I was hungry but Idon’t think I would order food at this place again. If it wasn’t for my family, I would r even go there again. The fish was fresh, light, and crispy. The chips are nothing more than French fries. The best I could say about the Reuben... sandwich is that it was sad. The Shepard pie was dry and I cannot recommend. We will stick to the fish and switch to the onionrings. Read more
First first time ever going here just came to get a quick drink the inside was super nice very clean very spacious I really like... the bar they had a huge selection of draft beers bottle beers already canned beers and plenty of alcohol bottles bartender waspretty chill servicing pretty nice cook seemed pretty nice I didn't order food I looked at the food online and the picturesdidn't look that satisfying I've never heard of British food my my rule is if I haven't heard of people talking about it .mustnot be that good but hey maybe I'm wrong besides that it was a nice place three drinks for 20 bucks not too bad I definitelyrecommend checking this place out if you're driving by on the freeway or live in the area Read more
Customer service was fabulous. Food was great. These days going out for lunch is expensive. A pint of Guinness and fish n chips... is $34 including tip. Read more
