Solid jp curry place with a huge variety of options + massive portions. Ordered first via QR and then sat and waited until they... called our order. Food seemed pretty simple and my favorite parts were the udon/katsu. Plaza parking was easy and it wasn'tcrowded when my party of 5 went on a Fri evening. Read more

Been wanting to try this place since they opened, and finally got a chance to do it! For the first time, definitely had to try... the curry with fried tonkatsu dish. Ordered by scanning the barcode outside the restaurant, and went in to let the server know.My food actually came out very fast! The freshly-fried tonkatsu was delicious, and I was impressed the ratio of curry sauce torice was perfect! I like to dunk my rice in a lot of sauce and had plenty on the plate. :) Will definitely return when I havecurry cravings again! Read more

I?ve been craving for Japanese curry recently and Demiya was the place that first pop up in my head! This was the 2nd time I... visited Demiya. Their curry was one of the best Japanese curry dishes I haven?t had for a long time since I moved to Bay Areafrom NYC half a year ago. The waiting time could be a while. Don?t forget to check in after you place an order. We didn?t knowthe first time we came for dinner, so it seemed like our dish started to be made after checking in, so we waited more than 30minutes to get our dish. This time we ordered food before going in and checked in right away when we were there. It took about10 minutes for our food to be ready. This time it was for lunch, so it could be different. Tegone Cheese in Hamburg curry riceis a must order. I feel like this could be a totally separate dish because either the cheese hamburger or the curry rice tastedso awesome. The portion was really big and satisfying. My husband ordered Curry Udon - Tonkatsu &Sunny-side up. The curry wasjust right in the udon, not too heavy and salty. He loved it. But he loved dipping his tonkatsu into my curry because he thoughtit was a better combination to have tonkatsu with heavier curry sauce. Read more

Edit as of 12/22/2021: As of the past year or so, the service has gone to complete trash. I have had about 90% of my orders... messed up in some way, shape, or form, whether it be missing items or completely wrong items, or even confusing a take out orderfor dine in. Additionally, I've ordered when the store opens and the food doesn't get prepared until it's basically almostclosed...almost hour and a half later! On top of that, they removed their notification system that they used to have, so nowthey don't even notify you anymore when your order is ready! Completely unacceptable, as this means you end up either riskingyour food being cold in the off chance it gets made earlier, or you wait at the restaurant for your food to be prepared for atleast 30 minutes. The only reason this place doesn't get one star is because the food is unbeatable. Original Review: Bestcurry I have had in a long time. It does an amazing job reminding me of home. Personally, I like to pour the entire curry ontop as you will see in one of my pictures here. It's extremely flavourful and the beef is so well mixed in that it isimpossible to eat with chopsticks (spoon only!) yet there is more than enough to fill you. The curry also makes great leftoversif you cannot finish it all for whatever reason. Definitely going here significantly more. Read more

Convenient new location for one of the best curry places in the US. This place has their original curry, plus a number of new... options like udon and beef tongue. Wait can be long, and may have to fight for a table, but in the end it is all worth it. Read more

Saw this place while shopping at HMart. Came here on a Saturday before rush lunch hour ~ 12:15. It?s new and clean with bright... casual, deli style ambience. Limited seating but turnover of diners not too bad. Parking it?s a little painful in a busyplaza. Food-menu is on clipboards at front. No pictures. We ordered hamburg curry and chicken katsu don. Waited ~20 mins forour food. The food is hot with medium size portions. Hamburg curry has a big patty with melted cheese oozing to complimentrice and curry. The udon soaked in curry with crispy fried chicken katsu on the side. Everything tastes fresh with goodflavors. I like that they use real bowls, plates and spoons for dining. Except they use disposable chopsticks. Also wish theywould wipe down tables or have materials to wipe down tables. You bus your own dishes. The pricing is what I expect for thistype of dining experience. I would come back and would recommend this place to friends and family. Read more

The Food Breakfast is now a thing in Demiya, and my friend wanted to try it out. It is only in one location every Saturday and... Sunday from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM. We arrived around 09:00 AM and there were plenty of seats available (also soft opening). Myfriend and I both got the Gion (??) set, which comes with quite a bit. You have the choice between Dashi Omelette or TamagoToji. My friend and I tried both and we agreed that Tamago Toji was better. Other than the Tamago Toji, I also enjoyed theChilled Thin Somen Noodles and Mini Sanshu Bowl. Though the salmon was a bit dry and I was not a fan of the Kinako Mochi (riceball?), it was worth a try. Of course there are several other items that are also on the menu, so might return at some point totry. The Miscellaneous The new Demiya, at first look you can tell that it is bigger with more seating than the old one. Theinterior is like the old Demiya with similar chairs and tables. The service aspect is the same, where the customer will orderand self service their own tray. One mention is that currently it is soft opening and meal preparation might take longer. Iassume when they grand open, the operation will be much better. The new location also have new menu items from a la carte, toudon noodles, to sandwiches, to onigiri. The prices of the new menu items are comparable to the previous location. Though theGion set was pretty pricey, you get quite a bit of food. If you are a Japanese curry fan, should give this a try.
