This place is my go-to for good wine, & a passionate & knowledgable staff! They're always helpful when I'm looking for a wine;... whether to pair with a specific meal or just generally have around. No pretense. No boorish snobs. Just good people! Read more

Always on my go-to Italian place list. I keep forgetting the name but what makes me keep coming back here is their pizza (bunch... of mushroom/cheese, the honey at the bottom of the dough. Sweet&salty never fails). Read more

Yesterday I had de opportunity to try this place for the first time and I had a lovely lunchtime with great food and friendly... service. I choose the patio area to enjoy the nice weather and the place didn't disappoint: the atmosphere is great, you canenjoy the fresh air in an open space without the sun in your eyes. I had: - Spritz Bianco 12 (prosecco, limoncello, club soda, lemon wedge, rosemary)- Peroni Nasto Azzurro (Italian beer) - Crostini Sampler (perfect to try a little bit of everything) -Melanzane panini (Roasted eggplant, sweet red peppers, garlic, crimini mushrooms, thyme, rosemary & a melted 5 cheese blend ona toasted baguette)- Prosciutto Calzone (shredded mozzarella, whipped ricotta mixture, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula,EVOO, fresh romano, parsley). Everything was on point: temperature, flavor, texture, portions, and I'm still thinking aboutthe dough's calzone with the different cheeses that I tasted. My advice: go to this place with extra time so you can have thewhole experience without using your meal, and let yourself be indulged by the staff (with their service and suggestions). Read more

Blink and you might drive right past this place. So, take a drive into downtown SJ and venture into their Little Italy... neighborhood, where you’ll find Enoteca La Storia; ELS, for those in the know. You’ll find a wine bar with excellent drinksand service (Mario is an amazing bartender, comedian, and storyteller); delicious Italian food; and charm. The restaurant spacewas closed for a private event, but I can only imagine the energy of the dining crowd filling that space on a regular evening.Anyhow, take a chance on trying out ELS. Read more

It was my first time in, and I was so surprised at how great this place is is! To start, our server let us sample the wines on... the wine list before pouring, which was a fantastic way for us to decide which wine to pair with our food. I also liked thatthere was an option to choose a bottle out of their wine library. Our food was so delicious. We ordered off of their fixed pricemenu for Dine DTSJ week and my main course was the salmon, which was cooked so perfectly - crispy and caramelized on the outsideand still juicy in the center. My boyfriend ordered the eggplant dish and it was delicious as well - he had no complaints. Also, our food came out nice and hot! We will definitely be returning. Read more

I ordered Wild mushroom Ravioli, it was good, but less quantity. Ambience was good, service was quick. Veg options available... too. Read more
