Tickets are fair host, we planned a whole weekend around seeing Anne Lederman and we?re not disappointed by her or the other two... comedians! They were a off the wall , laugh out loud trio! One problem that we ran into is we were there early, in the first 5in line, but when we were lead in we did not get to choose our seat even though we were under the belief ?first home firstserve? we were in the very front in the corner, not an ideal spot. When we asked if we could move over a couple the attendantwas very rude and practically yelled at us to remain in our area. We were surprised by his response. We did over our tworequired meals with plenty of drinks, overall our server was very kind and made the front not all bad. The venue is nice and thehistory of the improv in NY was shown on the screen before the show. At the end of the show the comedians met with people, signed autographs and were just totally funny and friendly! I did hear the guy that seated us get in a confrontation withanother guest - maybe they didn?t like his attitude either! I just wish the fine details of service were better from start tofinish with the one seater guy. But it didn?t wreak our overall experience- worth going! Read more

Always a great time visiting the San Jose Improv. They have a menu for food and lots of different drink options while you enjoy... your show. We happened to catch Jeff Ross last night and it was hilarious. I've been about to see a lot of great comedians hereincluding: Bob Saget, Rob Schneider, Craig Robinson and more. I can't wait to catch up on others that are set to perform therein the future. Perfect for a date night or an outing with friends and family. Read more

I?ve been here for two shows and all of them have been amazing! One was for Gareth Reynolds, another one was for Rahul... Subramanian. Both of the comedians were funny as hell. The vibe of the place is amazing, the food is okay sometimes but theirservice is also good. Definitely recommend this place for either date night, solo night fun or for just hanging out withfriends. We went to this improv theater for a stand up comedy show. The ambience is great especially with the exposed brick wall on stage... which gives it a very rustic feel. The seating is also spread out with tables as well as booths. One thing that I had notrealized was that there was a mandatory thing that every person had to order a minimum of two items ( food or drink). I orderedthe white corn guacamole and a spicy cucumber cocktail to go along with it. Both of them were average at best. The standupcontest was great though. Read more

Very nice classic performance venue! Friendly and polite staff. Excellent crisp and well controlled audio system for comedy... shows. The balcony air system needs attention, I was sweating in my seat. Even the headliner commented during his performance, and he was on stage lights shining so he must have been dying! My opinion is every venue needs constant slow air movement mixedwith a fresh air economizer, but this venue suffers with either nice flow to zero flow. Drink and tab billing services can bedisruptive, but was overall well executed by my waiter. I was lucky and accidentally discovered underground city parking juststeps away. I will definitely return to this theater! Read more

I came here to see Jimmy O. Yang! Doors opened at 5:30 PM, and the show started at 7 PM. There were two stand up comedians to... open. Jimmy O. Yang's performance was great and we were out the venue by 8:30 PM. The staff at this venue are quite strange...to say the least. They are VERY adament about the required two order rule, which is fine... but we did not appreciate that thewaiters, who were constantly shining their flashlights and standing in front of the stage (in the balcony). They were reallydistracting and disruptive. As I was walking around the venue, one of the staff members also said "I have never seen this manyAsian people at our venue before!" Seriously? That is a callous and rude thing to say while you are LITERALLY surrounded by acommunity of people seeing an Asian comedian. Overall, a spacious and nice venue. Affordable tickets too ($30 to see Jimmy O.Yang!). You can also see the comedian very well from any seat in the house! Wasn't a huge fan of the drinks though. I ordered aMoscow Mule and it honestly wasn't that great. Tasted watered down and not nearly enough ginger beer... Read more

Came to see Carlos Mencia on Thursday May 19 for the taping of his HBO special. Such a great show! 2 menu item purchase minimum... required. Food was delicious but service was slow. Ordering through the app took forever. Otherwise had an awesome experience.People at the club were so friendly. Looking forward to coming back soon! Read more

It started out rocky at 1st but not to the theater's fault. We arrived a day early for when we bought the tickets but they... accommodated even though it wasn't right off the bat. Took some convincing that we messed up & we won't be in town for the nextday showing. The server that had long curly hair was terrible. He took our order then never submitted it. Then he would askif we want water, never came back with it. Instead he served people around us. Wasn't funny since we saved our appetite for thecomedy show. Ridiculous server. We had to ask another server to give us water. She was wondering why our server wasn't attendingus. Food came out at the last minute. We had to hurry & eat before the show was over. Was going to give this place a 4 ????because of Aries Spears. Great comedian btw! 2 it is. Don't get that guy as your server: curly pretty boy as your server. Toomany mistakes ???? Read more
