Was looking for a dessert option and found this great option around bay. Glad that found this place, first time trying this... variety of soft serve with waffles and bean and taro flavors. Loved the ambience, no seating but has a cute setting to hang outand enjoy the soft serves. They do have have waffle fllings too to go by itself. Customer service was great and really enjoyedall the flavors we tried, coffee chocolate swirl, ube macha swirl and bean and taro waffles. Got to capture few videos ofmaking. Read more

Good soft serve ice cream. The waffle cones are made fresh right there. They are slightly thick and not hard, but slightly soft.

I kind of hesitate to review it just because I don't want it to get overwhelmingly busy, but they deserve all the love!... Consistently delicious desserts here; I usually get the upside down ah-boong and a macaron, but have also brought boxes oftaiyaki home to share, and everything has been yummy. I loved the heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day and mint Oreo filling forMarch, would love to see more themed specialties. If you're debating what flavor soft serve to get, try the ube, it's supertasty! Read more

Somisomi recently opened in San Jose. We went on a Friday evening and saw people standing in line in front of the place. Quite... busy but they make the orders pretty quickly. We ordered Upside Down Ahboong, one with Matcha and Tea swirls and another withMilk and Ube swirl. And both were fantastic! Would love to visit again. Read more

As an ice cream lover I would highly recommend to everyone to go out and try Somisomi! The ice cream was delicious and fresh,... didn't melt immediately and the presentation was stunning. The Ah-boong cones that are fish shaped are so unique and even havethe option to be stuffed with filling in various flavors. This was my first time trying or even hearing of taiyaki and I'm a fanfor life! These fish shaped waffle-like stuffed pastries are a different twist to the typical waffle. They are made fresh toorder and you can watch the whole process! So many options for fillings as well like Nutella, Custard and Matcha (my friend whobrought me said different stores offer different fillings and ice cream flavors so make sure to hit up differentlocations). Location was clean and staff was friendly and helpful to explain the different options (menu is pretty easy tofollow as well but who doesn't like an extra explanation? ). They even offer swirls (2 ice creams paired together for double thetastes! If you haven't been yet you are missing out on an authentic Korean desert! Oh and did I mention you have the option fortoppings to the ice cream? Sprinkles, coconut flakes, oreo cookies and a few others. Your cone is then topped with a macaroon ora Strawberry. Read more
