Marty and his team were SPECTACULAR!! You gotta book them if you want real BBQ done right with hospitality that’s unheard of... in California! We had them cater our wedding and everything was beyond expectations!! The food was so delicious with everybite and the service was beyond 5 star! We got so many compliments for having them at our event! They even made specialaccommodations for my wife’s gluten allergies! Pretty sure we will have to have Bad to the Bone cater ever event of ours nowbecause we’ve had the best and don’t want anything else ever again!! I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, so made a sizable takeout order. But: Rude staff. Old bagged lettuce on... the salads. Burgers were nothing special, just a small over cooked patty. The ribs and tri tip were cooked well and had goodflavor, but some of the tri tip slices had more fat than meat. My dog liked it. It's just fine. Better than a lot of chain bbq places but you probably have just as good a place if not better closer by, like... Phil's BBQ in San Diego. We ordered takeout and they asked for our number but never contacted us, instead expecting us to checkin every few minutes? Pretty stupid. They also have a bunch of people standing around in their takeout area so maybe fire thoseidiots and hire more kitchen staff. Read more

This is my favorite barbecue place west of the Mississippi; actually, I can't think of any good barbecue places east of the... Mississippi that I've tried, so this is my favorite anywhere! If you're looking for quantity definitely do not go here. As you can see in the half eaten side of vegetables about 3 pieces of... cauliflower fit into this small cup and I paid extra for brussel sprouts So imagine paying extra Ribs were a little dry Chickenwas ok Smoked sausage was good Brisket I don't remember (so it didn't leave an impact) It only takes me 10mins or less to drivehome and my meat was less than room temperature. Very disappointing. My suggestion is Heritage BBQ! Absolutely delicious! Ivebeen to both mentioned astablhisments 1 time. One left a food taste and the other sour. Today I attended a wholesame outdoor event hosted by Bad to the Bone BBQ with real pit BBQ and live classic jams by... @Familystyleusa. I loved the outdoor atmosphere and entertainment, and the food rocked! The BBQ Buffet included corn bread,coleslaw, garlic mashed potatoes, baked beans, BBQ chicken, pulled pork and brisket. What a feast! Their BBQ sauce was tangyand spicy and the perfect accent to the meats! To me, the pulled pork was the star of the lunch buffet. It was tender, moist andfull of flavor. It was fire with or without the sauce. The brisket was hit and miss. Some slices were moist and delicate whileothers were on the dry side and needed  the sauce the bring them to life. For me, I would pass on the chicken. It didn't doanything for me. The redeemer was the garlic mash. Ohmygoodness, it was great! Garlicky with a nice mix of potatoe chunks mixedwith the mash.
