Went to Hennessy?s Tavern, which is located in the ?? of San Juan Capistrano for the 1st time last night. It?s located in the... cutest and oldest area known for swallows (the birds) and one of the oldest missions ever built in CA. I would had given this place 5stars but there was certain things I believe that needs to improve. I came here about a week ago... on my birthday with my bf and kids. We were told we could sit anywhere we?d like so we sat where we could have some shade buttable was not cleaned up plates and cups were still there, we figured someone would come to clear it and start taking our orderor at least our drinks(20 mins later) my bf had to go ask the bartender at the bar if we had to put the order with him. Therewas this young lady(waitress) walking around but would not bother to help us and seemed to just avoid us. Anyways, the bartenderwas able to have someone come to our table and clean it, as well as to take our order. Tyler was our server that day, veryfriendly and answered some questions in food choices since it was our first time there. Let just say our food choices wereflavorful, although our steak was a little undercooked it still had flavor and my drink too. I had an Irish coffee and finishedwith rose wine. The kids enjoyed their food as well. My bf had their Hennessey?s burger. Tyler was attentive throughout ourlunch/dinner.
