I was in the LA area on a business trip and decided to make a quick visit to San Juan Capistrano and after visiting the Mission... ended up in this place for lunch. Wonderful experience! Food was well prepared, well presented and prices are reasonablecompared to other places in this area. I ordered the Cauliflower Shawarma and the Grain Bowl (pictures attached). The whiteballs on the Grain Bowl are poached eggs, so perfectly done that they almost like sour cream! Even my lemonade was well craftedand nicely presented. The service at Mayfield is the spectacular. I called ahead to make sure there were some vegan options on their prefixed Friday... night meal. There were and we couldn’t wait to try them. I will say we were a little disappointed when we got there to realizethere was simply one choice for each vegan meal. So there weren’t really options to choose from. But they did have a singlechoice for us in each category. The cauliflower steak and the bread appetizers were my favorite. I look forward to coming back,I just wish they had a few more vegan options. Cute restaurant. They whipped up the weirdest flavor combinations I've ever had. Not that the flavors were bad, they were just... wickedly different than what I'm used to. To each their own! Everything is meant to share which makes it fun! You won't get outof there for less than 50 bucks a person. Read more
Nice spot for Mediterranean delights and nicely crafted cocktails. My wife and I had the bread and different types of humus,... cucumber, feta and other dips. The cocktails were terrific and the lamb meatballs quite tasty. The service was terrific andestablishment quite clean with a nice ambiance. First time visit...definitely won't be our last! We had an outstanding dinner prior to an event we were attending at the... mission. Easy parking in nearby structure and then walk to restaurant and mission. Light, airy, welcoming restaurant. Active,but not too loud. Saturday night's "Supper Club" menu gave us a great variety of several dishes. Plenty of fun combinations offlavors. Attentive servers made sure we were always happy, without being bothersome. Absolutely recommend. One of the best meals I have had in a while. We did the supper club menu with 4 people and it was perfect.... Each dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and had its own different spin on it. The cocktails are also bomb. Perfect fora date night, we will be back for sure! Read more
