Their happy hour options are nice. You'd think it is pricey but the quality of the food is pretty darn good, and in terms of... price compared to other sushi spots, is really good. Their stir fried edamame they make is my favorite edamame compared toeveryone else. Read more

We've tried several sushi restaurants in the bay area and this place is the best we've had. We had three rolls: anger... management, girl on fire, and king of the jungle. The consistency/textures were perfect and the flavors really popped. Each ofthese rolls would've been around $20 at other restaurants in this area, but they're very reasonably priced at $12-15. The misosoup was also perfect and surprisingly big. The service was fast and friendly, and our waitress even went out of her way toaccommodate our request of swapping out the type of fish in one of the special baked roles. Read more

Hubby & I are "repeater-eaters" at Angry Fish, San Leandro, California. We've been there maybe more than four times these past... couple of months. What I personally always love ordering here is their 10-piece assorted sashimi meal served with rice, salad, &miso soup. Like I said in another review of mine, it's Pavlovian of me to order this combo just as soon as the stimulus is"Japanese themed restaurant." The GENEROUS Angry Fish sashimi portions never disappoint! I love the huge "tipaks" of raw fishwhich I proceed to dip in wasabi & low-sodium soy sauce. As for hubby, he praises the salmon teriyaki & shrimp+vegetable tempurato high heavens! Overall impact: Winner in food portions & quality, prompt & friendly service, & no-regrets bang-for-your-buck! Read more

Just gobbled the most amazing Dragon Roll (cooked roll w/unagi and crab covered in unagi sauce). It was so good that once... tasted, I couldn?t stop eating it long enough to take a pic. Hahaha so the best dish of all is not in pic. What you do see is(on the left) the extra tasty stir fried edamame (a must have) and (on the right) the less than mediocre Lion king (only atehalf?don?t recommend) and what was left of my wakame sunomono (cucumber seaweed salad). Also had a bowl of miso soup that wasnice and warm. This is the second time I?ve eaten here and once again I walk away with a mostly happy plate (except for theLion King), taste buds dancing, and a smile on my face. Good job Angry Fish! Read more

We ordered mystery box, omakase nigiri and some sushi roll. The plates look great, but the quality of the nigiri is not the... best. The special roll is my favorite and it tastes pretty good. We came in a little earlier before lunchtime and noticed thatthe restaurant filled out quickly after 12 and serves plenty of pickup orders. Read more
