Service is nice. Prices a reasonable. Scoops are big. One of the only places I know of to carry a version of my favorite ice... cream (lemon). However, they have chiffon and I prefer custard. Read more
Never been to a Loard's Ice Cream. Definitely, has a nostalgic of the 1950s with their old menu's and ice cream lids. We had... a chocolate and mango shake and it was delicious. Dare I compare the mango to Mitchell's? It's definitely a close 2nd place. If I am ever in the East Bay this will definitely be my go to. I give it 5 stars for the quality and taste of it's ice cream. I just had a classic Black and Tan Sundae and, as usual, it was... fantastic. It's small inside with no tables that can be used at the moment. It's an old place (but clean!) attached to wherethey make the ice cream. I've gone here for decades and have never been disappointed. The ice cream was good and the staff was helpful. This place was easy to get in and out of (downtown Livermore location is a... little harder with parking). This spot up charges for credit card, so bring cash. Read more
