Great lunch special. Chicken taco and steak taco with rice and beans. Real quack on the crunchy taco shell. Nice salad and... radishes with carrots and jalapenos! Read more

I believe this restaurant has been here for some time now as I drive by it all the time when heading down San Leandro Blvd... between San Leandro and Oakland. So I finally dropped in for a visit and a bite and so glad I did. Breakfast, lunch and dinnerare all fabulous and incredibly affordable. My favorites are the shrimp and egg breakfast burrito, chicken fajitas burrito andthe Bandera (from the specials menu). The decor is colorful and lively and the service makes you feel right at home. In fact,I'm wrapping up breakfast at the restaurant and writing this review as we speak! Read more

The inside is nice and this place is relatively new. I never went to the old Chinese restaurant that was at this same location... before, but the inside looks good and has a nice atmosphere. I have to say this is just another Mexican restaurant with the sameold menu and the same old taste. It isn't necessarily bad, but it's nothing special not a place to go out of the way for. If youare looking for a quick bite and this spot is on your way I'd recommend giving it a shot, but I wouldn't go out of the way forit. Read more

I've tried this place 3 times already and feel comfortable enough to write this review. The location seats on fast travel... portion of San Leandro Blvd, next to new refurbished park. The restaurant is cozy with simple decor and vibrant colors. The wayto order it's a bit odd, you place the order at cash register first, near the entrance, just be aware of it. The burritoselection and options was surprisingly good from the types of meats -to- flavor totillas. The green (tomato, onion, cilantro) part of the burrito taste fresh. The beans and rice are good too, not over or under cook with good flavor. The meats are notover seasoned for the most part and good texture. The chips are ok, nothing especial but the salsa that comes with, it's reallygood. You can tell it's fresh with a nice citricy undertone and a nice level of kick (spiciness) that pleases most. The (Azteca)soup was pleasantly good, as well, recommended for the upcoming cold days. I typically don't order fry fish nor I'm into Molebut the party that tried this place with me raved about. Tasted the fish and it was clean meaty tasting, none of the overusedoil after taste. Did not have a chance to taste the Mole but it appears to be the real deal, authentic Oaxaca type mole. Theservice is very helpful and friendly, no complaint here. This place is definitely a hidden gem which has outshine most of themexican restaurant downtown SL in it's short existence. I hope the quality of this place stays up as times goes by. Read more
