So you think the pizza is good? Try the wings... The wings are best in SLO, full stop, don't waste your time anywhere else. ... If you spent any amount of your life in the northeast US, there's a certain expectation when you get wings at a pizza place. They're not supposed to be fancy, or gourmet; there aren't supposed to be 12 flavors or any of this other nonsense. There isjust an unmistakable flavor and preparation that every Californian place overthinks, until here. The vibe. This is a place Ican see myself being a regular at because I can belly up to the bar, theres good music playing, the beer / drinks aren'tover-priced and the crowd/staff is completely down to earth. This reminds me of the places I miss going to back east and anyonewho gets that, is going to get it here. Long live Benny's. Read more

I really wasn't too sure about this place at first. When we walked in I scoped out others' food and the pizza looked a little... overcooked and really thick with dough. To our surprise the pizza was REALLY good. It is Detroit style pizza so I guess thatmeans square style. I ordered a Negroni from the bar and it was AMAZING! We went back just for that drink 2 nights in a row.Give this place a try. Read more

In my opinion, I expected more from this place. I saw the photos on your page and when I got to the place the smell was amazing,... but after waiting an hour the pizza had no toppings It was a Hawaiian pizza and it only had a few pieces of bacon, no more than2 pieces per slice, the pineapple it was the same. I am very surprised because in the pictures on the page the pizza lookscompletely different. I honestly think they should charge more and give me a real Detroit pizza. Read more
