Long wait for seating and for the food, but they did accommodate a table for 11. Great seafood options. Beautiful place to sit... or to walk after you eat. Abundant paid parking. Read more

Let me introduce to you the best kept secret, The Fat Cats Cafe. The service here is amazing everyone was nice. It was easy to... get a table. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I actually ate something I never had before, which was Linguicasausage. It's a Portuguese style sausage and it was perfect. Overall, me and my pregnant girlfriend were very happy with ourexperience. The restaurant is right off the water with great views. Not an over crowded beach at all. That's why it's the bestkept secret. Read more

The food was good. It was a cute place and had some interesting items on the menu. We ordered lobster tacos and grilled fish... tacos. They were served with rice and beans. We wanted to order dessert but the item we wanted they were out of. They hadgotten busier and we had a difficult time getting refills and the check. I finally paid with cash so we could leave. Theviews were good though and people watching interesting. Read more

Fat Cats offers beautiful views, competent staff, and decent food at decent prices. The butterflied Gulf prawns were a little... disappointing, but only because I know the real deal. Ain't nothing better than fresh Gulf shrimp. Not bad, just not what I hadhoped they would be and nothing like you'd find on the Gulf Coast. The rice pilaf is excellent, with fresh vegetables. Some ofthe best I've ever had to be honest. I don't usually use cocktail sauce, but theirs is delicious and I did dip the shrimp intoit. My fiancée's fish and chips was okay, with large portions. I noticed that those who ordered breakfast were getting hugeportions, too. If everything had been as enjoyable as the rice pilaf it would have been a five star experience. It's actuallycloser to a 3 1/2. Nothing was bad, it just was just lacking... something. We walked away fed, but somehow underwhelmed. Read more

We had the nicest lunch here. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. We were a party of 8 and we were able to enjoy... our meal without feeling rushed. The kid's menu is large, which was very nice when you're used to only 3 options at most places(photo of menu included in this review). They take reservations days in advance for parties over 6. We will definitely go hereagain! Read more

Ventured out for a little late lunch, with a fish an chip kind of craving. FatCats' Alaskan Cod with Rice Pilaf was an... excellent choice to satisfy that fried fish need. Nice portions, even on the kids Cod plate. The Tube and Tentacles is quitefilling, especially with a side of Clam Chowder. It did take a solid moment, before being greeted or acknowledged, though oncewe were seated the service was right back on track, attentive and cool vibes. Read more

It was my weekend getaway to Avila Beach. My husband and I had a bowl of clam chowder, oysters, ahi tuna burger, and local... halibut(fish & chips). Everything turned out GREAT except fries. Fries were cold. I highly recommend their localhalibut(fish&chips) if available (It was special menu on the board). Staffs were friendly and everything was GOOD. Read more
