Love the vibe of this place AND the food! SLO location. Easy to get to right in the heart of downtown, just a block from one of... the parking ramps. I like to sit at the bar and the staff is always great. Fun eclectic menu and my favs are the Poke nachos,margherita flatbread, Moroccan salad, Asian Ahi salad, and their Cajon 7-spice dry rub wings. This place is delicious and the service is amazing. We felt welcomed since we got there and although we had to wait about 20... mins to be seated, it was so worth it! There's no parking so you'll need to look for parking on the side of the street and itgets busy but I do recommend trying them! ???????? Had a great dinner at Finney's on Wednesday evening. Being from out of town we love to try new places where we haven't eaten... before. The appetizers in particular were really good. Highly recommend the deviled eggs! The lobster roll was fresh andrefreshing. More like lobster toast than a roll. The chicken and waffles had a kick to them, which was quite good. Heard rumors about how yummy this place is, so we had to try it. It was so Delicious! We walked right in and were seated right... away. The place is busy and kind of loud. They have all the sports playing. I got the gummy bear shooter, which was so good! Theaverage price of beer is about 8 dollars, which is a good price. They also have a wide selection of beer. They did have someother mixed drinks from the full bar. I didn't see much wine on the menu. I also got the pepperoni pizza, which was quite large!Since the crust if a nice thin crust, the pizza isn't super filling. Our server was very nice and made sure we were taken careof. This place is always tasty with decent service but you can tell the staff is young and perpetually off in 10min. Which I get. I... was a young person working a job during school at one point but , I'd like to at least know that the server heard me with somesort of nod or blink. LoL. We have never really waited longer than 10min for a table and the food is good BUT the SantaBarbara Finneys is better all the way around from the moment you put your name on the wait list to the sweet potatoe fries. Really good bar/restaurant. Like most of these places in the US, the bar has open seating, so no need to queue for a table if... seats at the bar are available. Had a blast at Finney?s in SLO. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we ate here on both of our two nights here. It isn?t that... often that you have gluten-free options at a brew pub, let alone excellent food and service to go with those options, but thatis the case here. We ate at the bar both days, and I thought both bartenders were outstanding! I?m upset I didn?t remember thebartenders? names because they really help guide your experience. First day the guy was SO much fun, he acknowledged us quickly,didn?t mind our fussiness when we moved seats, I think he actually got a kick out of us when I decided to try the skee ballmachine (BOY that brought me back to my childhood!) and the teasing interplay between my wife and me, he enjoyed that and heencouraged me to go for it! He was just a lot of fun and a great bartender. LOTS of gluten-free options here. Loved the bacondeviled eggs (and they don?t chintz you on the portion size). Loved the carnitas nachos. But those WINGS! I?m still thinkingabout them. Just terrific. And we were a little shy about trying the mango habanero as the sauce but he talked us into it andwe were SO appreciative of that recommendation because they were delicious! Yeah yeah yeah, we?re not young and not that spicetolerant, but he assured us it would be a great choice, and it was. I don?t have the gluten allergy so I went with regular bunon the delicious cheeseburger and great crispy tasty fries. I LOVE when a restaurant offers a bison burger, and that?s what mywife had and she thought it was great. Second night the bartender was also excellent, the service was great, and we enjoyed thererun of the wings and went nachos this time. Not a bad dish in the whole lot. Great spot for a bite. Nice bar area with plenty of TVs for sports. Outside area is nice for some fresh air. Atmosphere is... restaurant pub like. Great location in downtown SLO. Our young daughters enjoyed their pizza and buttered noodles and weenjoyed our burgers, tots and onion rings. Staff was super on it, helpful and very courteous. Read more
