Visiting from out of town and a friend recommended this place. Great food great atmosphere but our waiter topped off the night... for us. People seem to forget about how important eye contact is these days... Not the case for our waiter John. John S. wasvery attentive to all of our needs. He kept us in the loop of timing, but in a caring and friendly way rather than beingoverbearing. His passion for La Esquina really shined through in all of his interactions. La Esquina is one of my favorite restaurants in SLO! A go-to for date night with my partner. Food is delicious, staff is always... warm & incredibly kind. I recommend queso as an appetizer, Bentley margarita to drink, and the enchiladas. Shoutout to JP, anepic host and server! Read more

We knew from the moment the chips and salsa came with our amazing margaritasthat we were in for a fantastic meal. They didn't disappoint.
