I ordered medium rare. It was overcooked. The presentation was really nice as I asked it to be cut in 1/2. The flavor was good.... Not amazing but good. For $19 for a burger, it should be amazing! I'm sure I'll be back in another 5 years or so, but it'sabsolutely not a place which would pop up in my head to go to if I'm hungry. It WILL pop up in my head that it's expensivethough. Read more

The bartender/waitress was outstanding hustling between the both the entire time...all the staff, including the owner, did not... offer assistance to her and did nothing but glare at me...have no idea what I possibly could of done to warrant that being myfirst time there... nevertheless....I won't go back...my guess is that they are close to going out of business and deservedlyso....btw...I owned a bar/grill for 10 years and all of my employees were trained that the very first thing and truly the onlyimportant thing is happy service...a very gloomy place...PS. the tre-tip was mediocre at best...but the onion rings wereGREAT... Laguna Grill has excellent salads. We ordered the BBQ salad w/tri-tip and the Cob w/tri-tip. They were delicious! The only thing... I might suggest is that the lettuce (Romaine) be chilled in advance for greater crispness. We had a coupon, otherwise we wouldnot have come because the prices have gone up so much! I?ve been coming to Laguna Grill over the last decade, as well as the other locations owned by the same owner. Hands down, here... you will get the most thoughtful burger in California. Maybe the whole country. I almost don?t even eat burgers anywhere elsebecause I?m disappointed it?s not one of these burgers. Most recently I tried the Anaheim chili burger? again, amazing. I?ve hadthe pleasure of talking to the owner and he has really put a lot of thought into all the elements of the burger and how it?scrafted. I love wings from Laguna however the last two times I went they gave me small order and the wrong sauces. Today I asked for 1lb... wings and to make sure it was BBQ sauce as I?ve gotten Buffalo the last two times. They gave me one piece of celery and 7 wingsfor $15, definitely not a pound of wings! We went their with kids, and loved that there was extra seating away from the louder main area. Unfortunately the 1 year old was... unable to use the high chair due to broken straps. And only got 4 jalapeño poppers in the appetizer. Food was decent, priceyfor what it was however and my burger didn't come with any fixings, which was unexpected. Read more
