Food was delicious. Service was friendly but very slow.
The sushi is not only beautifully presented but its sophisticated and delicious. They don't focus on big rolls with cheap... ingredients and a ton of spicy mayo or a thick layer of rice. Take a look at my pictures, the roll fits perfectly in your mouth.Go during happy hour if you want to add some drinks or sake to your order. Happy hour is until 6pm! The only caveat is thatdepending on the roll you order, it's not budget friendly but the prices are not outrageously high either. Read more
I decided to give this place a try since my go-to spot (Ahi Sushi) was closed, I wish I didn't. The food in the bento box was... cold and stale. My wife's seafood salad was lackluster and not fresh. Some of the fish was warm and smelly (likely frozen),which she had to take out. The staff was friendly and I'm not one to be picky about food. The miso soup was delicious. We had such a great time celebrating my friends birthday. It was my first time in this location, typically I go to the one in... Vista. I got to try more rolls with a larger group an can recommend the Avatar Roll, Lemon Cilantro Roll, Sexy Roll, AfterBurner Roll.... shoot most of the rolls i tried were really good and the presentation was great too. Fun to come with friends oralone at the bar. Apparently the bar is not yet fully operational but they have great beer. I love this sushi restaurant! The food and the cocktails are fresh, well crafted, and tasty. The staff are welcoming and... patient. The restaurant has great atmosphere and they play sports on their flat screen TVs. Lastly, they have great selection ondrinks (beers,sake, and cocktails). Read more
We live right around the corner I've been coming here since they opened. Their food is always on point. The service however... isn't very fast. A couple times we've dined in and gotten take out. This time we were 30 minutes past the time that they gaveus. I ordered my food at 6:43 was told 30 minutes however it took an hour and I was walking out at 7:45. We definitely enjoythem there. And we look forward to continuing to eat with them. Maybe more people on the team? Because when we were there onlyhalf the tables were full yet everybody seems like they were racing around and super stressed. Read more
The atmosphere is very quaint and the staff was very attentive. It didn't hurt that this roll may not be on their regular menu.... Not knowing how to order sushi wasn't a problem here. The combination of Sweet, Salty, Creamy, and Spicy all rolled up into this"SEXY Roll" has made It's Tabu Sushi my new favorite spot for my sushi fix!!! Read more
