Food is good here. Service, not so much. They have one of the nicer BBQ in San Diego. It is soft and tender - absolutely... delicious. The place is nice and big but they only have one wait staff and they do have signs saying they are short staffed. Thelady there is doing a fantastic job but they need to hire more people. The place looks a little bit scrappy with things stackedbehind the counter. If you can ignore all that, food is fantastic. Despite the lack of service, I have to give it a 4star. Wings come in bags. And seasoned with all purpose flavoring. That's it! Kitchen is gross. Meat left unattended. Everything comes... in bags here! Don't see the big deal about this place! Kitchen was absolutely disgusting! I'm sure there are far better REAL BBQrestaurants nearby compared to this hidden dump. Read more

Amongst the group the food was good. 3 meat platter good, fed two people and still took enough home to feed 2 more. Sliders... good,brisket good macaroni good, fried Brussels sprouts all good. But I do miss Phil's bbq. Could use additional bbq sauceoptions. Read more
Delicious! Meat was not dry, but flavored well. Baked beans are the best and have pulled pork in them, making it not too sweet... and not watery. Macaroni and cheese was good too and you can get that as a side or as a meal with different meats in it. Theystart every table off with house popcorn. I wish they had different BBQ sauces to try on the table, they only give you 1 type todip. They also suggest calling to see what's available as they only make a certain amount per day,, and they suggest comingearlier in the day or on a weekday if you want their most popular items. Prices seemed high at first, but seeing how much foodyou get, we had a lot of leftovers even after sharing, so overall the price was great for what you get! Read more
Good smoke flavor in all of the meats. All were tasty and tender. BBQ sauce has a strong Worcestershire sauce flavor. Corn bread... had a good flavor but was surprisingly cake-like in structure and texture. (Softer than expected from cornbread) The 3 meatplatter was sufficient for two people to share. Sweet potato fries have a (too) thick coating of seasoning with a lot of paprikapowder. It took away the nice flavor of the sweet potato. The brisket bits, pulled pork and pork ribs all had a good smokeflavor. The brisket being a bit drier, as expected. The pulled pork was moister, again, as expected. The ribs lived up to thedescription on their menu and did, indeed, fall off the bone. So much so that they were almost impossible to cut and dividewithout pulling the meat off completely. Read more
