We ordered both Chicken and Pork Katsu. They're not bad at all but it was so thin. The nigiri and California roll we ordered... weren't good either. My boyfriend and I came in on a Friday night for our anniversary. We came in and it wasn't as busy as we thought it was. Our... waiter basically dismissed us as we were sat and didn't take our order. We were then asked what we wanted to drink by a separatewaitress. (Keep in mind not all tables were filled by the time we were sat.) The waiter finally made his way towards us anddidn't even make eye contact or acknowledge us. Just simply asked what we wanted and left. We both ordered Egg drop soup and wehad saw a table had just been served the same as we were there before them. He then looked at us and shouted "egg drop soupright!?" We said yes the 10 minutes later we were served our first course. Keep in mind my boyfriend and I are very familiarwith the service industry and are very patient when it comes to running orders. It wasn't until it was an hour after we were satand the other waitress stopped by our table and had asked us what we ordered. I had told her that if it wasn't in the process ofit being made that we could leave.. She said "No no it's being made I just want to clarify." We had told her and she went awayto the back. Our original waiter meets us at the table again and asked if we were ready to order and we had let him know that wehad already placed it. He also ran to the back and said "Oh right it's in the process." Several minutes later our waiter met usat the table and apologized for the wait but our rolls have never been in the process but he could start them right now. He thenstopped us short and told us "What I'm trying to say is do you want to leave?" I have never been treated this way in arestaurant and I was left disappointed and hungry. I had such high hopes going in as well since my boyfriend had recommendedthis place as well. I hope others have a better experience. Read more

Nice restaurant with very interesting and diverse selection of sushi. If I correctly remember you can choose among more than 30... different sushi rolls. A service was also great, staff is very attentive and fast. Read more

Absolutely Outstanding ????????????, one of the BEST sushi restaurants I have ever been to. Being new to San Marcos, I thought... my sushi days were gone, as San Antonio is now quite far to drive to, where my favourite sushi is Goro's. Chef Ray is on fire. We have enjoyed each visit to Otsu. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar. I have asked the chef to prepare... custom rolls or sashimi on each visit and have been blown away. They will give you fresh wasabi on request (recommended). Thisarea isn't flush with great Asian fare, but I highly recommend this place. Read more
