I had high hopes for this place given all the positive reviews, but, although the wait staff was nice, the food was really... dismal. I think my beans had actually gone bad and were rancid. The verde sauce had no savory tomatillo tang and instead wasjust sweet. The salsa too was oddly sweet. No one in my party enjoyed their food. So disappointing. Read more

Casa Mañana was a longtime favorite of mine (going back to the 1990s), but it is currently a very pale shadow of what it used... to be. I stopped in two weeks ago for brunch, and was disappointed with the quality of food (the chicken in my chicken poblanoappeared to be sorely undercooked), and with the cleanliness of the bathroom (dirty and no toilet paper, no paper towels). Also, their once rice-based horchata is now milk-based. I will give them another try real soon and update my review if thingshave improved. Read more
