So I just found out that Mi Pueblo had a restaurant in the Northgate Plaza. I'm not a big mall person so dont bash me too hard... lol. I've been missing out! I like this restaurant a LOT better than the downtown Novato location as it's easier to movearound, it's got a full bar (Yeah!) and of course, the food is amazing. One thing that's really cool is that they have a fullystocked salsa bar. Many lesser restaurants have done away with any type of salsa bar due to the current climate. Well Mi Puebloisn't having any of that and they're serving ALL their delicious salsa's!!! Be careful of the Orange Super-Hot one. I lovespicy food but you gotta give that one some respect lol. I got a taco salad when I went last and my wife got the ChickenTortilla soup. I loved my Taco Salad but the soup was awesome! It's definitely a lot though and might be good to split with anappetizer. at any rate, give it a shot if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed! Read more

The bill was outrageous, they add extra charges without notification. The meal will be 30.00+. They charge extra tax on top of... what you need to pay for every single item you order. And they will hide the charges. You will not see them until you get thebill and realize that your bill is 40% higher than what it should be. My food was so disgusting I told the waitress to take itaway. The sopa was like eating soap instead, tasted like dirty dishwater. I honestly think I ate a sponge from the sink insteadof my meal maybe it accidentally got mixed up. Do yourself a favor! Don't eat at this restaurant. While some restaurants are short staffed, Mi Pueblo on Saturday afternoon seemed right where they should be. Each person was... attentive, food was delivered fresh and on time, and as a big bonus, my picky eater of a son devoured his plain chickentacos. With all the sad stories of restaurants closing, it's wonderful to go to a place that seems to be thriving! Read more

I was expecting high standards from this place and they provided it. I ordered a torta de carne asada and it did not... disappoint, it was a decent size with great flavors coming from it. The horchata was good and has a different flavor (some whatspicy which is weird for a usually say sweet drink) but it was good so no stars taken from it. Service was good also, thehostess was very knowledgeable which is a ++ for me. I'll definitely come back after they officially open since when I visit itwas the soft opening. They have a salsa bar with AMAZING SALSAS, I love the fact that they have the habanero option here. Read more
