I never liked quiche all that much until the day I had their vegetable quiche? it wasn?t too eggy but rich in flavor from the... mushrooms and onions. Red Whale rocks. Great service, great ambience, great coffee. Just discovered this place and I would definitely come out of my... way to come back here. I forgot to order my coffee decaf and they remade it for me free of charge even though I had the cash inmy hand. Made me feel very valued as a customer. We were here for a wedding weekend and stopped by Red Whale every day (twice on the first day) for coffee. It's a wonderfully... cute little coffee shop with absolutely fantastic coffee and incredibly nice staff. Will certainly make it a point to stop bywhenever we are in the area again! Read more
Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Espresso flavorful but ask for it as a short pull and tea well brewed! Great shop... for coffee fanatic supplies, liked the rock memorabilia and pinball machines. Cool set up all around and will def be back toinvestigate more roast! Read more
I like this place. It's a nice coffee shop and I can usually get in and out surprisingly quickly. They have a square card... reader, and it keeps track of your points s ok that you can get a discounted drink every now and again. I love this, since Ijust dont like having punch cards in my purse. The drinks are good and they have a nice variety of options to choose from. Theyalso have a small number of baked goods in case you're hungry. The people have all been fairly friendly, and overall it's just anice little coffee shop. The only downside I would say is a matter of personal preference. I like less acidic coffee, and I'veasked for their least acidic blend in the past only to be given a cup that's still pretty dang acidic. This is a bummer since mydrink of choice is honestly just a cup of coffee with a little bit of half and half. But now I stick to their lattes, which areall good and I dont have to worry about the acidity of the coffee. Not taking a star off of my review for this though,considering that's just personal preference. Just mentioning it so you'll know to get a latte instead if you have similartastes. Read more
Had a poor experience with these folks at the SF coffee festival - we wanted to ask if we could substitute the espresso in their... samples to which we were told no, we totally understood that substitutions were not possible and we didn?t say anything else,but the server was SO rude and continued after to say things like ?what?s wrong with you? and was very dismissive to us. Maybethis guy was having a bad day, but regardless we felt that we did nothing to justify his rude service and if this is how thebrand wants to promote themself at a very public event, I would not recommend anyone this place.
