My husband and I went in this afternoon, to get the lunch special. $6 pizza and a drink, and $12 pizza wings and a drink. The... lady helping us, who we later found out was the manager, didn't know what the $12 special was. So a whole lot of confusionordering, then we finally said just the pizza wings and a drink combo for my husband. She asked what kind of pizza and he saidpepperoni. Out comes our pizzas, mine was Hawaiian and his was just cheese. So I let the other lady working know we asked forpepperoni. She took it back, put pepperoni on the SAME slice of pizza and put it through the warmer again. The cheese slicealready had over cooked cheese on it and now it just looked gross with pepperonis that would fall of. My husband went back upand the lady said "oh you wanted a new slice?" Yes. What the heck do you think we wanted? A burnt cheese pizza with warmed uppepperonis on it? So she took it back and out came the next slice which looked just as over cooked as the last with cheesesprinkled on top and put back through the warmer. That's when we asked for the manager and it was the lady who took our orderwho didn't know what the $12 lunch combo was. So overly saddened and appalled by this. We use to love this place. October 31, 2022 This locations continues to not disappoint. They were extremely busy yesterday, being as it was Halloween and... all. Ordered a pizza from a young lady at the counter (Veronica?) and ran across the parking lot to Goodwill to pick up a lastminute kid costume accessory. When I got back in 10 minutes, the pizza was hot/ready - and I was on my way back home. The staffthere is incredibly friendly and always makes us feel like they are part of our community. Our kids LOVE this pizza, and they'resuper-picky eaters! Past Review from 08-2022 (?): This particular Pizza Romano location may be new to our community in QueenCreek/San Tan Valley, but they are one of only two businesses that have ever made me feel like they wanted to be part of thecommunity. The food is good - we have only tried the pizza - and we're anxious to go back and try out the other items. Ourtake-out order was ready early and I was in/out of there in just a couple minutes. After our visit, the manager reached out tome to see how things were and to thank us for a review we left on another platform. That's when they reminded me of thebusinesses of old, when I use to live in a very large city with a multitude of neighborhoods within it. There's a sit-down areato eat with table and chairs, but I think that may be expanding in the future (they are still kind of new.) I was amazed on how Christina M. Made a huge difference, She reached out after our meal and service was horrible. She not only... correct the issues but mended the way we think about Pizza Romano. She gave us credit to give them a second chance and promisedthat our bad experience will never happen again. We obliged and gave them a second chance which was a great and Outstandingexperience. I always stick to the pizza and the wings or fries. Also the desert. Pizza Romano has never messed up. From the start, I was... always given great pizza. I order a few times from the competitors across the road but they messed up my order so many times. SoI went back to Romano. Read more
I would definitely not recommend going here. We walk in and order and they said it will be about 30 minutes, we thought that... would be fine so we waited.. as we were waiting we saw almost every person that came in to get their online order get theirorder only to come back because their order was missing something. The place looked like it was run by a bunch of freshman thatdidn?t dress professionally nor did they wear anything to secure their hair so it wouldn?t get in the food. We waited and HOURAND 20 MINUTES just to get our pizza, wings and mozzarella sticks. Any other pizza place where I?ve gotten a bigger order thanthis didn?t take this long to get our food. I can?t see this place having less than 5 stars. We went when it was closed, it opens at 3pm on weekdays. The owner aloud us to... order early, it was our first time there. He made sure to get us the best deal to feed my family of 4. He allowed my kids to puton cartoons while we waited. He served us and the pizza was fresh and delicious. The sauce is perfect. I?m a ranch lover and theranch is perfection!!! I had to bring my fiancé back the next day for his favorite, a gyro and fries. The gyro was hearty andgreat. The calzone I ordered was fresh and of course perfectly paired with the ranch!!!! Here we are the next day, today, and weare craving pizza Romano again!!! Ordered ?well done? boneless wings, and they were RAW. Literally made us throw up and lost our appetite. This is unsafe! *48... hours later, after calling and speaking to the "manager" who told me to email their boss for a refund.... still no refund orresponse! After sending raw chicken to someone's home, you should at least not be too busy to send a refund. Read more
