Used to love this place but my last visit wasn't good. Called ahead to place takeout order and pickup later. When I picked up my... order there was no sauce, so I went back in and asked for sauce. The same cashier who gave us our food when I paid, asked if Ihad paid. I repeated my order that I had just picked up and then she asked if I paid for the sauce. I didn't know that thesauces were extra charge, as they have never been before when I ordered in the past. She explained that if I wanted sauce Ishould have paid for them with my order. When I started eating, the tortilla fell apart and was soggy and the food was cold so Iassume that my order was made right after I called ahead even though I explained that I wouldn't be there for 30 minutes. I've been going to Joel's since I was a kid, and it's my hometown staple! After 2 years of not getting to have Joel's I finally... got to go home and have my favorite food again. There is nothing like it, the flavors, staff, environment and all around thecommunity that eats there as a whole make it ten times better than anywhere I've been. For years friends have been telling me to go to Joel's when I hit Sandpoint, but I haven't made it over there until this last... week. Wow. This place was amazing. I had three of their chicken tacos (of different flavors) and each and every single one wasamazing. I mean, these are some serious tacos. Two of them will probably fill you up. I stuffed a third one in my belly becausethey tasted so good... and it was worth it. So many stars for Joel's. I'll be going there again. :) Read more
