Food, drinks and service were all really good. The menus were stained and the drink menu wasn't even on a board like the rest of... the menu, but was the same paper that also had stains. That impression is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. Read more

Some friends brought us here one evening during the week. Got seated right away. Ordered some wonderful wines from the friendly... waitress. I ordered salmon with cherry bbq sauce. My family and I vacationed to cedar point and decided to end the trip with dinner at J Bistro. We drove 14 1/2 hours here, so... saying we are tourists is a bit of an under statement. Knowing NOTHING about the area, I had to do some research. I couldn’tfind a place more recommended for a comfortable, finer dining experience than J Bistro. The location is great, the decor isgreat, and most importantly the food is GREAT. We are from the south. The REAL south. All of our food is great. Finding a placewith flavor like us is hard, but J Bistro hit the mark and exceeded it. I had the cowboy steak and finished the night with thebread pudding. Could not recommend this place more!! Also, make sure Sue is your waitress. Probably the best waitress I’veever had, and I’ve eaten at my fair share of places! 10/10. Read more
The service was incredible, everyone was super attentive. The food here was off the charts, unbelievably good! The steak was... cooked to perfection, as was the cod and shrimp! This is your best bet if you are in Sandusky and want a superior dinner! Read more
The shrimp and salmon was exceptional. French onion soup was done just right. The wait staff was attentive and friendly.
Personally I'm not the one to go to a fancy restaurant, but honestly you have to try their french onion soup; once you let it... cool down some it's honestly the best french onion soup I've ever had. The server forgot to grab me a box so you'll have toremind them, my server was very nice. This place will ever have a place in my heart as they made my first date with this girlspectacular and unforgettable. Read more
