Beautiful 1800s train car seating area. Great service by our server Judy. The food was delicious. I recommend a burger, house... made chips, turkey club wrap, sweet potato fries (waffle), and the carmel apple cheesecake. Read more

First time visit with my two friends. Loved eating in the train car. Very nice friendly waitress. Orders were taken right away... and our orders brought out pronto. My Reuben sandwich was piled mile high with meat. The corn beef was a little on the fattyside, but didn't bother me, but may others. My friends has the grilled cheese sandwich with cup of tomato soup. Sandwiches werevery thick with lots and lots of cheese. All of our bread slices were thick like Texas toast. I might add that the french frieswere anything to write home about. We all enjoyed our meals and the experience. Read more

Nicely curated restaurant with a unique dining area in Teddy Roosevelt's personal train car. The atmosphere is terrific as is... the staff - warm and friendly. The food is your typical bar food - warm, tasty, and made to order. Read more

Great service, food was great as well. Waitstaff couldn't be nicer. Not to mention the charm of the railcar and its... memorabilia in the glass cases. Read more

Great food, start with the fries pickle chips, but bring some friends. The serving as well as the fried pickles themselves are... huge! I opted for the brisket and fries and wasn't disappointed. I took 1/2 sandwich home (after all the pickle chips) and itwas just as good the next day. Read more

We came in from the heat after shopping for antiques. It was a late lunch. We donned our masks since the Covid warnings were... back on. Most of the patrons and all of the staff were wearing masks as they should. We were seated by a young waitress who wasfairly attentive to us. She did have a number of tables to wait, but we felt she worked us in at just the right timing. Iasked for her suggestions about their specialties. She suggested the Reuben was a well known favorite there, so I ordered it. My wife had a specialty burger called Teddy's Choice with onion straws. I ordered deep fried mushrooms as a starter. Soon wehad the mushrooms. I couldn't believe how many they served. Usually you get 6-8 mushrooms. Oh no! This was an entire basketfull. There must have been between 20-25 button mushrooms. The price for that was $7.95. That is about what I usually pay,but I got a lot more. The Reuben was soon to come. The rye bread was lightly toasted and the corned beef was a thicker cutthan I have ever seen used in a Reuben. The sandwich was great, the mushroom appetizer was extra special, my wife's meal wasbig enough that she had half then and made dinner that evening out of the other half. The waitress was very helpful. The decorwhere we were seated was a railcar redone into a dining car and the walls opposite us were display cases of historical drinks, bottles, and other fascinating little doodads. The bill with our drinks was about $42 which for the location, quality, andservice I felt was very appropriate. Give these people some business. I think you will want to return to try out more of theirmenu. We went back the next day, new waitress and had a great experience also. Cost was under $33 for two. Read more

Bull Moose is a great local place! My dad and I love coming here and eating in the train car section of the restaurant (it used... to be Teddy Roosevelt's train, you know!) The fried mushrooms were amazing, though very hot at first. They came with ranch, andthey gave us such a huge basket we almost filled up on just mushrooms before our burgers showed up! I got the BMBG burger. Itwas a no-frills burger with cheese, and it was so good. I got the sweet potato fries with it, which is a plus for me every timesome place has sweet potato fries. When we were done, the waitress got us boxes even without us having to ask. Such helpfulservice! My only complaint is the music was so loud all you could hear was the bass, but it probably sounded better in thebar. A little expensive, but you get great food and atmosphere here. Gotta love it!
