This place is your basic old timers, home cooking style restaurant. Food was okay. Host and serving staff was another issue... altogether. I have never stiffed a server until this restaurant; our servers attitude was unbelievable. When I asked her if aspecific item on the menu was good she tapped the item on the menu with her gross long fingernail and said, ?it says right herewhat it?s like??. I about fell off my chair. Grumpy, short tempered and completely void of hospitality skills of any kind. Fromthe lack of greeting to the totally uninterested server it was a total fail with front of the house staffing. There were acouple older men expediting food who seemed to maybe be ?owners?. They were awesome. They just need a friendlier and moregracious staff. Reboot. Read more

Took my daughter (21 year old) to Jim?s tonight (we thought we would give it a try) and all I can say is blah. I ordered the 12... oz steak?against my daughters advice?and well, I should have listened to her. It was really against my better judgment too, given Jim?s is not a steakhouse. The steak was cooked okay but very tough to cut and even tougher to chew. Perfect sign of acheap piece of meat. I love steak and will consistently eat all of any steak I order, but not this time. I just couldn?tfinish it. Once again, I should have listened to my daughter. Why the 3 stars then? Well, I can?t do 2.5, and to be fair, mydaughter liked her turkey sandwich. I can say her sandwich looked pretty good when they brought it out and half way through themeal, I began to have dinner envy. The service was as expected and the environment the same. Would I go again? Yeah, probably. I?d like to try the turkey sandwich and hopefully walk away happy and full. Read more

Great spot for breakfast. Stopped in on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. They were busy but we were seated very quickly.... Omelette with hash browns & a pancake was delicious. Lots of food for a good price. Server was amazing. Definitely worth a tripthere. Read more

I love the food that Jim's offers, but I did not have a real positive experience at this location. I just happened to get stuck... with a server who was busy, yet she was a slow mover, and slightly forgetful. In her defense, she did thank me for my patience.Overall, I may have had a better time if I had a different server. Honestly, I found, it's hit or miss with each location. Read more

I used to frequent this place at the old location and it was consistently good. I have now tried the new location in Quarry Bend... twice and both times the front of house have ruined the experience. My party and I were ignored both times and parties thatentered after us were seated first. I will say that the food is fine and the waitstaff have performed well each time. Read more
