First time at Village Baker. I ordered a half sandwich, Turkey, provolone, and avocado. I requested no tomatoes (allergy) and... the dressing on the side. I was dining in as well. My sandwich came boxed up for me to take. I opened it and there was tomatoand the dressing on the sandwich. I asked for it to be remade (I have a tomato allergy!) And the person working rolled her eyesat me and said "we'll get to it when we can". I understand they're busy but I was clear upfront about what I wanted and myreceipt showed that I ordered it that way as well. 10 minutes went by. My sandwich came back in another to go box. I opened it.No tomato but the dressing was still on it. In frustration I gave up and just at it the way it was at that point. Disappointingin the experience but the food was good. This was a great lunch for me! The staff was friendly, the food came quickly and tasted fresh, and the store was really clean. I... got a ham and cheese on French bread & it came with a mustardy-Mayo sauce that I didn?t expect because it was my first timehere, and normally I despise mustard but it was actually really good and surprised me! I hate this place. Are here for the first time about a month ago. And the bread alone is worth the price. Been eating the 1/2... sandwich and a bowl of soup atleast 3x per week. Big fan of the rye bread. Read more
Love this place. Place is Super clean. The items you can get are amazing. Wife likes the Cob Salad. I love the Strawberry Or... Asian Chop Salad with Chicken salad on White Bread. Delicious?.. to top that off with a piece of Carrot or Chocolate cake. Sweetrolls are heavenly. Cannot go wrong with any thing you pick. Always fresh. Quality ingredients only here. Read more
The staff at village baker are very nice, and very accommodating. The restaurant was kept clean and inviting. I would love to... rate the experience higher but their food just isn?t my favorite. It?s fine. But to me, it?s only fine. I?ve been a few time(through friends, work, and privately) and have always felt kind of ?meh? about the various sandwiches and soups that I?vetried. I?ve heard their pizza is good, and I?ve never tried those. Most people I know really love Village Baker?so it?s probablyjust my preferences. So I?d give it a try, but it?s not my thing. Read more
The good: Clean Nice staff Lettuce was fresh The bad: If I wanted a salad kit I would have gone to the grocery store. The... Caesar considered of lettuce, POWDERED parmesan cheese, croutons in a baggie, side of dressing. This was not to-go so I expecteda salad more on par with zupa-ish type places. Not even close.
