My wife and I are Sandy Hook locals and we have done two take out orders here. She did the Caeser salad with grilled chicken... and I did spaghetti with meat sauce. It is absolutely ridiculous how good they both tasted. Better than any Italian restaurantwithin 100 miles. Read more

Gino's has some of the best pizza in Newtown. You will not be disappointed. The vodka sauce pizzas are soooo good!

This review is long overdue. In my opinion this is the quintessential pizzeria and hands down the best food in the area. They... have an vast selection of specialty pies and are generous on the toppings. The other food options are amazing as well. Freshmade arancini, garlic knots, and stuffed rolls. The alla vodka sauce is arguably the best I've had. The owners Dennis and Artieare always accommodating and helpful. They have catered two events for my family and the guest all raved about the food. We got there and had to wait almost an hour the blond chubby waitress said sit outside and I?ll take care of you so she served... everyone else except us, (avoiding us) then finally after and hour the skinny blond girl who by the way was really sweet decidedto serve us. The food was really good but I felt uncomfortable because I guess the chubby blond girl thought because we areHispanic race she probably would not get tipped. It?s okay I ended up tipping the skinny girl very well. Other then that it wasgood.I wish I would have reported her to the manager but I didn?t, you don?t treat certain people differently based on theirrace. It was pretty obvious.
