We love The Villa. Food is really good, service is always friendly, atmosphere is relaxed, cost is not a burden on our wallet... and wine selection does not overwhelm you. We really wanted to like this place. The entree descriptions sounded delicious. I have never been more disappointed in a meal. I... got the scallops, my friend got the duck. Both dishes were extremely over salted. The risotto had no flavor, it was so bland. Wewill not go back. Read more

Food was just ok.. in my opinion the food needed a bit more taste or seasoning. I got the shrimp stir-fry and it tasted a bit... plain... I would probably give them another chance next time I am in the area. Read more

When I first moved to Sandy Hook, The Villa was basically the only restaurant in town. Now it's been eclipsed by a number of... "trendier" spots, but it remains unequalled in ambience and food quality. Spectacular stone-walled patio surrounded by exquisitelandscaping, and an interior no-expense-spared dining room. Lasagna and tiramisu are two standouts, but everything is fresh anddelicious. Read more
