The view of lake Monroe is amazing! We were seated right away on a Sunday afternoon which was great! Party of 3 , had the... lobster bisque (phenomenal!)the gator bites, shrimp po'boy and the St John burger. The burger was very good, the gator biteswere on the greasy side. The Po 'boy was good! The service was really good. Now, the restaurant itself has a lot to catch up to.There was a broom propped in a corner, right in the middle of the restaurant. Around that column, one could see accumulateddirt. I asked the server to move the broom because it was right next to our table and it was gross to eat and look at it. Shepromptly moved it. At the end of our dinner, the ceiling started dripping in our plates and on our table. Water leaked down thecolumn next to us and the servers brought a few buckets. I alerted our server about the drips on our table and he shrugged andsaid something I could not quite understand. Bottom line - needs maintenance big time. I would come back for the bisque 100%!!! This place was really good. The food was delicious. The drinks were really good as well. I had the pain killer and my boyfriend... had the Bahama mama, both good. We had the gumbo, bang bang shrimp, the crab cakes with hush puppies and baked man and cheese, mahi-mahi and the cat fish. Everything was amazing. Read more

Let me start by saying that the food was absolutely delicious and amazing in flavor. From the appetizers to the entrée! And I... would love to have given a 5, but I have to be fair to the restaurants that I have given a 5 to and consider a few factors. 1. Iwaited an hr to get in, and it was a party of 2, and it was not packed. 2. The the appetizers took too long. When I see theparty of 8 behind me getting appetizers well before me and they arrived 30 minutes after I put in my appetizers order, it raisesred flags. Especially because when I sat, there was another couple already sitting, and they got their appetizers 3rd behind me.This can not be explained as employee shortage but rather disorganization. The right manager can walk the floor and see this andcorrect it. But again, the food was worth enough to warrant 4 stars.....but organization could have been 5. I will attempt asecond visit someday, hoping for better results. But kudos to the kitchen!! The view is pretty nice though! Read more

Atmosphere: clean, nice, and cozy. Lunch: Fried Calamari - okay. It has crispy thin fried battered but the calamari are sliced... thin and chewy. I had better fried calamari elsewhere where the cut is thicker so when it's fried them, it's crispy outside andtender inside. Shrimp & Grits - I am not a fan of sausages added to it though. The grits tasted a bit salty already. Shrimpwere tender but on the salty side with too much flavoring for the little man. So it's salty seasoned shrimped on top of saltyflavored grits. That's just too salty for us. My little foodies do liked the melting cheese though. Stuffed Grouper - grouperis dry and chewy, obviously not the fresh catch of the day taste and texture. Garlic Parmesan Oysters - love it! If I do comeback, I would just fill my belly up with several plates of their Parmesan Oysters. Read more
