This is a good little sandwich shop. A little clumsy on the execution side, but the end product is pretty good. Not really a sit... down and eat kind of place. They will toast any sandwich if you ask. Just be sure add a whole pickle as a side. They usually cutit in quarters. Pairs perfectly with any sandwich. Read more
A friend recommended this spot, I found myself in the area and stopped in for a late lunch. The atmosphere is very low key, I... actually thought they were closed as I walked up at about 1:30 on a Friday. I'm so very glad I opened the door. Ordered anItalian Grinder which hit the spot. The bread was amazing, Boars Head meat (the best), fresh veggies all balanced justperfectly. Posting this review is making me hungry for another grinder. We were looking for a place to get pastrami on our way to the beach, and I'm so glad we took a chance here. I saw from the... reviews they were new and wasn't sure. Well, let me tell you, I am a fan! Not only were all the sandwiches phenomenal, thestaff was so warm and inviting. You can tell they take a great pride in their shop and product. We had the pastrami on abaguette, the suga Mama (chef's kiss ????, my favorite), and the Italian grinder (also fantastic). This will definitely becomeour regular spot to stop in and grab a sandwich on our way to the beach. The only bad thing, but not a reflection of the ownerbecause I don't think these are made in house, was the black and white cookie. These were so disappointing, they tasted off,very off. A true deli, few of these left in Southern California. Sandwiches were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The Fat Boy is... a great combination of cold cuts and crispy bacon with the works and the meatballs sandwich is truly amazing made to order withmelted provolone cheese smothered in sauce in a fresh bread. Service is also great, friendly staff makes the visit a delight andfast. Read more
I think a roll with a crunch on the outside would help hold it together as you get to the last bite, and gives contrast with the... smooth texture of the internals. Of course this is 1 opinion, might increase the price, and you can't please everyone. Thanksfor the sandwich! Read more
