This review is for Christin, the event planner, and Alfredo who was my point person the day of our daughter's reception. My... husband and I had our reception here 25 years ago, so I was familiar with the packages. I wasn't ready for Christin's attentionto detail and her insistence on making our daughter's reception beyond perfect. We didn't have a wedding planner at thereception, but I quickly found out that we didn't need one. Alfredo was with me (wedding planner in name only) every step of theway! He was constantly checking on me and always available whenever I had questions or needed help...and we needed LOTS ofhelp! Before the reception, I saw my brother and Alfredo chatting and they seemed to know each other. Turns out Alfredo workedat a restaurant back in the day, that my brother and his colleagues used to frequent. It just goes to show how Alfredo left ahuge impression on my brother, and rightly so. He is so genuine and thoughtful. We had a delicious buffet, with carved primerib and an open bar. If you don't want to incur a $3000 bar tab, I suggest beer and wine...but what fun is that??? If you'relooking for a place to have your reception, with packages that have their recommended vendors (cake, flowers, photographer, dj,photobooth, etc...) I highly recommend Christin and Alfredo! Thank you both for making our daughter's reception so special. We're all still talking about it! Read more

Made a reservation late in the day for that evening. So glad we did! Spectacular view, good food. Our server, Mark, was friendly... and just enough attentive to know when we needed something but not intrusive. Would highly recommend for a date night or specialoccasion. Read more

An experience to dine in this historical restaurant. It was a madhouse when we arrived for our 7.30 PM reservations. Lots of... graduation parties. It took them 20 minutes to seat our party of 10. Food was quite good and the waitress tried her best toprovide a decent service, but she was overwhelmed by the number of tables she had been assigned. Will try again on a quieterevening. Read more

I went on a little dinner date for myself. It was definitely nice! I had outdoor seating watching the sunset. The food was a bit... of a wait but with the view it was nice. If you don't mind airplanes like I do. It's a bit loud but it's amazing watchingairplanes come down because it on a airplane path DIRECT. I downloaded the app on my phone and got to see different kinds ofplanes pretty close. It was a enjoyable experience with a great waiter. It's super cute at night with the view! I'd go hereagain if I don't mind waiting that day. Read more

Beautiful! We went to the Orange Hill Restaurant a few months ago, and we prefer the Orange County Mining Co. The decor was... very clever, down to the walls inside. We arrived and were promptly seated outside (as requested via OpenTable) and our tablewas pleasantly secluded. There was a birthday party going on at one end of the restaurant, and what looked like a company eventin another area. They had plenty of heaters outside (thank goodness, it was chilly) and they moved the portable heaters to keepus comfortable. The view was amazing! I love the lights of the city, there is something calming about it… you get a serenefeeling as you look over Orange County. Our server, Jason, was attentive and checked in on us frequently (but not incessantly)he was good about getting our drinks refilled and making sure we had what he need. Appetizer: We started with the calamari. Wearen’t fans of calamari that comes in “stick” form. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good, we prefer the smaller ringcuts. If you like the stick form, you would probably like these, the fry on it was good. Drinks: I got the Blood OrangeMargarita and Matt got the Lemon Smash. Both were tasty and refreshing! The water was good too, it didn’t taste like it wasfrom the sink :) Entrees: I got the Prime Rib and Scallops, risotto and creamy corn soup. The soup came first along with somecheesy bread. VERY cheesy bread. I had one bite but that was it, too cheesy for me! Matt liked it though. The soup was good, Ididn’t feel like it was missing anything. My prime rib was more rare than medium rare, but that’s ok, better for left overs!I love scallops, but these were drenched in a buttery garlic “sauce” that took away from the scallops. I would ask them tohold the sauce and let the scallops shine on their own, butter, S&P, and a nice sear . The risotto wasn’t creamy, the cheesewas almost like a paste, I’ll pass on that next time. Matt got the ribeye and mashed potatoes. The cook was great! Theseasoning Read more
