A friend of mine took me here for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. Aside from like one other table, we were the only... customers in the whole place. Obviously, I've had to cut back on the help, So we had to wait for a while to be seated, and Ithink they are trying, but the restaurants have not come back since covid. Our server was good. We also took some food to go,and they were accommodating. Read more

My family has enjoyed Polly's for decades. They aren't amazing. They are good. It's a C+ restaurant. I enjoy several things on... their menu. The last time I went to Polly's was too place a to go order. I asked the young woman at the cashier for an order offish and chips. She adamantly insisted that this dinner came with fish and a side of TORTILLA CHIPS. (I laughed, but quicklyrealized that she was very serious) I tried to explain the dish, but she started at me unfazed. I then described a sandwichthat I wanted, but could not remember the name. She insisted that they had no sandwich with that description. I excusedmyself, found photos of both dishes and she quietly continued taking my order. I'm not actually upset. It was a bit funny. Theslice of chicken pie with gravy is my favorite thing on the menu. Read more

I ordered the Salisbury steak with Bleu cheese wedge. This combo is excellent! Highly recommended ! The salad was well balanced... with walnuts and bleu cheese sauce. The main course also was satisfying with the mushroom gravy atop the Salisbury steak withfresh green beans and mashed potatoes. This is comfort food! Read more

We were in the Santa Ana area and needed to stop off to grab a quick bite to eat. Now, I know their known for great pies, but... literally this was the first time we decided to try their restaurant. I ordered the patty melt type meal, I was looking forwardto it actually but, unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The patty was so bland, it wasn't seasoned at all and there was anoverwhelming amount of grilled onions. I barely finished one half of the sandwich. There were minor problems with my husband'smeal too but we were so pressed for time we knew we couldn't get a refire on both meals so, we just chalked it off as, the chefwas having a bad night. We did order a pie to go when we first checked in to be seated because it was the last one, (it's one ofmy usual pies I get at Polly's). Upon getting home with it and going for a slice, half of the crust was missing, half! I wasshocked. Before we left, the manager was bragging that they could make that particular pie in 5 minutes, but as a manager, whopacked the pie, you would think that he would of noticed half the pie crust was missing. I don't know why the decision to make afresh pie didn't cross his mind, especially if it only took five minutes to make. Nope instead, they let it fly out their door.Needless to say we won't be visiting that Polly's again. Read more

There were a couple times I arrived here before closing not knowing their closing time. Reason being I'm tired and stressed... sometimes, this was the closest comfort food near my place. Both times they were really accommodating and understanding, Ihighly crave their delicious pies and meals! Read more

We stopped in for a nice brush before heading out to Universal Studios for the day. We all had a variety of dishes but I ordered... the lemon pancakes and a side of bacon. The pancakes were fantastic as they had more than enough lemon flavor. They were light, fluffy and hit the spot for brunch. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered and our service was great. This place gives youquite generous portion sizes to make sure you definitely don't leave hungry. If you are in the area and are looking for a greatbreakfast spot this would be a good place to go. First time here for brunch with my daughter. I've eaten and loved their Coconut Cream Pie but never dined here. The lady server... was so nice, cheerful, and courteous. The food was decent, tasty but not high standard by any means... The skillet was supposedto be hot but my Pastrami Hash Skillet was just slightly warm. The restroom was pretty bad... stinky and on the dirty side. Twostars were deducted. Read more
