If you don't wanna read full review - this is short version: Disappointed and super overpriced. Don't waste money and time and... expectations. Long review: Me and my wife was excited to try this place. We make reservation, available time was only 8:30pmand they seat us in front of the window with has no view because it's dark outside. I didn't get the idea. Score goesdown. First meal they bring super fast, but my octopus was kind of cold. Grilled pineapple was amazing. I love pineapples. ButScore goes down. Pumpkin soup was good. Second course: Salmon steak was just okay. Regular salmon. Caviar on top doesn't makeany difference. Score goes down. But cauliflower with salmon was amazing. And this is sad part, when vegetable outshine themain food. My wife got white truffle pasta with mushrooms and lobster. Lobster was good Truffles we didn't feel at all. It wasregular mushroom taste pasta. But we expect white truffles. And I didn't find them on plate and pasta didn't taste like trufflesat all. Score goes down. Deserts was okay. Waitress offered us coffee. It is surprised me. I don't think anyone wanna drinkcoffee at 9:30pm. They didn't offer us any tea. And no tea or coffee on menu. We arrived last one and left the first one. It'smean experience is not good. You don't wanna stay there and enjoy. It's nothing to enjoy. Me and my wife enjoying each otherstaying in our Bacara room way more. We are not drinking alcohol. But just in case: Alcohol is not include in course menu. Sobe ready to pay extra, on top of $105 per person. Nothing "hit the spot". For course of 2 meal and desert, we paid $258include tax and tips for both. And it's not worth it. Not good experience, not good vibe, not good service, not good food. Orit was only my expectations? Read more

Incredible service and food! We were staying at the Bacara and decided to dine here to celebrate our engagement. From the moment... you walk into the door, the impeccable service begins. We were welcomed with a warm smile and promptly shown to our tableoutside with a fantastic view of the ocean. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant was energetic! We essentially had twoservers the entire night, a somm who helped guide us through their vast wine selection and made sure our glasses were neverempty, and then our waiter who made excellent food recommendations and took good care of us the entire night. We both orderedthe Filet Mignon with shaved truffles on top and it was melt in your mouth delicious?maybe even the best steak I?ve ever tasted! The cut of meat was fantastic, it was cooked to medium-rare perfection, and the shaved truffles on top just melted right intothe steak. Overall this was a phenomenal experience and a great place to celebrate our recent engagement!! Read more

Amazing service and food. The Salmon & Halibut were spectacular. Drinks were great. The walk up to the bluff was difficult but... we'll worth the beautiful view. Will not disappoint. Read more

Located in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel plaza just down the street from Butterfly Beach. The food and drink selections were incredibly... diverse and creative. Be sure to get a table on the patio for a wonderful view of the beach. We were there during sunset (6:30PM reservation) celebrating our daughter's graduation from UCSB. Ask for the patio and ask for Joe for your waiter and you'll bevery well taking care of. Read more

Highly recommend the brunch here. The views are spectacular, even on a cloudy day, and the elevated food and service are... worth every penny. We enjoyed Valencia orange and blood orange mimosas to start - both from freshly squeezed juice and nicelybalanced with the sparkling wine. Then we had the French omelet (perfectly delicate texture and beautiful herbal flavors) andthe Croque Madame (on brioche with a mixed green salad on the side). As a side and based on recommendation, we also tried theLemon ricotta pancake with blueberry compote. Now we recommend that as well. We never felt rushed, always well attended to, and enjoyed the elegant yet mellow vibe of the place. Do try it if you can. Read more
