Rooster & Rice is a case study proving that simple, when done well, can still provide a five-star dining experience. Rooster &... Rice's menu consists of 4 variations on Khao Mun Gai, which is Thai chicken rice (which is fairly similar to Hainan chicken riceif you've ever had that). I got The Original which comes with both chicken breast and thigh meat over a bed of chicken rice anda side of cucumbers. The chicken was tender with a good bite. But I have to say my favorite part of the dish was the rice - it'sso savory and flavorful that every mouthful is a treat. Rooster & Rice is located on the second floor right next to Ramen Nagi.If you're not paying close attention it's easy to miss their storefront as there's always a line of people waiting for RamenNagi. But for those with keens eyes and and a taste for chicken rice, if you choose to dine at Rooster & Rice, then you'lldefinitely find your craving satisfied. Read more
I hate chicken breast but I love eating chicken breast from this place. Not dry, rice is absolutely delicious. Sauce pairs... really well with everything. It blows my mind to see the huge line outside for ramen nagi because everyone is missing a gemhere. Can't recommend this place enough, it's hard to find something that's not fried, heavy, or greasy in a mall but this isit. Also huge plus points for the compostable packaging. Read more

Another solid R&R location. The chicken, rice, sauce and broth is the same as any of the other locations. Same chicken flavored... rice, and same chicken flavored chicken in an eco friendly container. Got 'the riceless' the chicken and the sauce serve on the side was great. And quite the ample serving for the price. Love that... everything was in compostable take out materials perfect to eat in the park. The 'seasonal vegetables' that it came with workkind of disappointing. Just some broccoli and really watered down cauliflower. Was hoping for something that seemed a little bitmore fresh and not just a filler vegetable underneath a mound of chicken. Read more
In A Nutshell: -Rooster & Rice is definitely some good Asian comfort food. -This location inside Valley Fair Mall is open, but... takeout only. -You can grab your food & take it outside to eat. -The panko chicken was pretty good. -The red sauce is semi-spicy& tastes great. -The chicken flavored jasmine rice is delish. This place is underrated. Healthy and delicious Hainanese chicken rice. Hearty servings. We come here couple of times a week... for take out/ dine in good meal for Gym rats. Read more
