I am from Pennsylvania and buy ice cream cakes from multiple DQ locations around my home and have never had any issues. My... family loves them so we get them for every birthday and holiday. I am currently visiting family in California and picked up anice cream cake at this DQ for someone's bday because they've never had it before. We were all very disappointed. It was theworst cake I have ever eaten. There was hardly any icing on it, I ordered ahead to get extra fudge crunches which were lacking,and the worst part was the ice cream. It had a crystal like consistency instead of a creamy one that I love so much about theirice cream cakes. DQ has gotten too expensive for what it is and the small portions. Tried the cheesecake blizzard and the cheesecake pieces were... too mushy and fell apart for an unappetizing texture. Inside was decently clean but in disrepair and definitely needs somemaintenance and cosmetic care. Very dark inside also, like there weren?t any lights on. Staff was friendly and quick.
