Food was good. They were short staffed, said they let a server go home then got busy so we were a little forgotten about on the... outside patio. Food tasty though the Brussels sprouts salad was not quite as tasty as when under other ownership. Read more

Let me start by saying when you enter a restaurant you should be made to feel welcome not like your doing someone a favor by... dining in said establishment. Server was ok nice but, needed a lot of training. I guess the bartender that was working thatnight only works one night a week so, that was the excuse for drinks ( meaning a glass of wine being poured) took about 15minutes to receive in a pretty empty restaurant. Won't recommend. Read more

My wife and I had a special occasion dinner there recently and when I told Jonathon, the manager, about some service issues (our... drinks took way too long and our server was both incompetent and rude), he handled it very professionally. He apologizedmultiple times and served us himself along with a different employee for the rest of our meal. The food was excellent as usual. Read more

Avanti is a smaller restaurant with a nice vibe. The service was good, but the food was just ok. We ordered a Caesar salad to... split. The dressing could have used some more lemon juice to balance out the flavor. It was much too rich tasting. My wifehad the lasagna and again it was somewhat mediocre. I had the GRASS-FED BEEF TENDERLOIN | with garlic and rosemary, potatoesAu gratin, and grilled asparagus. It was done as requested, but I really could not taste the beef. The rosemary sauce was veryoverpowering. So much so, that I could not even taste the garlic. The overpowering of the rosemary was still evident evenafter I removed as much of the sauce as I could. It was a disappointing entree, especially for $44. The potatoes looked good, but not to much flavor. The asparagus was phenomenal however. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for us. I do notthink we will be making the drive over to the west side again to go there. Too bad "Your Place Farm to Table" restaurant is nowclosed on the west side, that was one of our favorites. Excellent local restaurant with nicely done contemporary decor. All the dishes were excellent. Flavorful sauces without... excessive salt. Full bar. A little spendy. Read more
