My girlfriend and I tried this place last night for the first time and were wowed by the whole experience. We started with bread... for the table, calamari, and streak fries and then shared spaghetti and meatballs, a mushroom and sausage pizza and a margaritapizza. Fabulous food and service. The outside seating was well covered and felt nice and breezy. The arrabiata was the right amount of... spicy and my toddler kept asking for more. Would highly recommend their mint julep and vegan ravioli. The Margherita pizza wasgood too. The bruchetta was a little overloaded with tomatoes but tasty nevertheless. 10/10! Amazing! So authentic and delicious. Fantastic Italian wines, food is amazing. The staff is so great! Such wonderful... gluten free options. I couldn’t believe it was gluten free!! Enjoyed the appetizer special of polenta with mushrooms thenmoved on to the bolognese with gluten free pasta and topped it off with one of their special desserts. So yummy! Great Italian Pizza place. The pizza is thin crust and crunchy with the right amount of ingredients (and not a lot of cheese... which I personally like). The spaghetti Carbonara is tasty, I wish they'd add green peas to it too but still super good. Thewine selection is limited but appeasing, the backside patio is cozy and cute and we feel welcomed every time we eat here. Pricesare decent too considering everywhere else in the Bay Area & Santa Cruz. Read more

For our one year anniversary, we went to Sugo Italian Bar. Both of us were blown away by the service, romantic atmosphere and... food. Our server was Andrea! He informed us of the specials and recommendations as well. We sat in their outdoor, covered andheated patio. For our starters, we got Meatballs and Marinara and a Ceasar Salad. For our entres, we got Wild Mushroom ravioliwith a three cheese sauce and the special which was a spicy italian sausage within the marinara sauce. I personally, found thespecial too acidic for me but it still tasted great. My SO loved his strong expresso for dessert. Thank you for the wonderfulevening. They're doing a special on Valentines day for 50% off wines & an $80 meal for two with entre, appetizer and dessert.Wish I got a photo before he swooped that menu away. Read more

From the moment you enter, the welcoming scents of fresh spices fill the air; Wine, bread and awide variety of Italian dishes adorn the tables; Cheerful guests laugh and chat on the enclosed deck. Excellent service fromattentive servers and a daily assortment of suggested specials all combine to create an atmosphere that would be welcomed byguests in any part of the world.
