Was staying in Ocean street, so I stumbled over to this restaurant. Was pretty good. Ordered the filet and lobster. It was not... the best, but wasn’t bad. If I come back, I probably will order something else. It was rather stuffy inside as well. Sitoutside if you go and enjoy the beautiful Santa Cruz weather. Read more

Awesome!! Great staff. Cozy atmosphere. I had Filet Mignon(rare) with Lobster. My wife had Sirloin(medium). My daughter had the... Shrimp and Chips. Calamari for an appetizer. All of it was perfect. The Lava Cake came out a little soon so it wasn’t quitelava-like but was still tasty. I think they thought we wanted to leave sooner than later since we had been there so long. Butthey gave us a discount because the lava wasn’t flowing. Very generous of them. Great experience. Great place. Go here fordinner. Read more

The food was great and worth the long wait. I had the fish tacos which were delicious, just the right amount of fish and... veggies. The mango salsa went very well with the tacos. We also had the salmon which was great. The mac and cheese was good. Thecrispy calamari was great. Read more

A great find! We were lucky to find the Water Street grill across the street from our hotel just when we were hungry for an... early dinner. The grill opens at 4:30 ready to serve up a wide array of casual food and full dinners. Our waitress Shelley wassuper attentive and provided great advice as well as commentary on the neighborhood. Their version of fried asparagus(apparently a local specialty) was excellent. We also went for fried pickles as well to start, and the kitchen let us sampletheir potato croquettes - Yum! Our main course was the skirt steak sandwich and the cowboy burger. Sides included onion ringsand sweet potato fries. Everything was cooked exactly as requested (med_rare) and well supported by the au jus, creamed horseradish, and homemade bbq sauce. They also feature an extensive wine list (my zinfandel paired well with the red meat) atreasonable prices. My only disappointment was that they would not be open for breakfast! ???? I highly recommend then to anyhungry travelers! They also offer both indoor and outside seating. Read more

Definitely not worth the money... Or the long wait. I'm thinking they don't like to go orders .. They should take some tips... from the Wooden Nickle in Watsonville The kitchen sink salad was missing the candied carrots and seasonal vegetables.. springmix & feta cheese only Caiimari was super small tube only... Skirt steak was over cooked ... Cook / owner should make abetter effort with his plates. Read more
