I wish I would have taken before photos. Very clean organized Italian Deli. Staff was super polite and helpful. I ordered... turkey on ciabatta bread. Deeeelicous! Everything was so fresh. This deli is AMAZING! A friend of mine took me here to share and I had the New Yorker and it was delicious! It's a deli that you... pick a number ticket and wait for your turn, it was quite busy, understandably since the quality. There were sandwiches, delipastas and other yummy food along with other frozen food that they made. Plenty of drink selection along with a variety ofdifferent wine bottles to purchase. What's for lunch? Zoccoli's Italian Deli. Another local fav with the best sandwiches and bread. I go back and forth between a... basic turkey sandwich, but today I was craving a French dip. This deli is awesome, they have a variety of specialty sandwiches,desserts, cheese, and even wine. They are located in downtown Santa Cruz at the end near the town clock. They do get crowded atlunch time so you may want to look online and pre-order so you don?t have to wait too long when you arrive. Read more
Ordered a Castroville Italian sandwich. Found it underwhelming. Maybe I?m spoiled by east coast delis but this sandwich was... small and mediocre. The bread to filling ratio was too high, so had to take it home to add more sauce and veggies. Also don?tthink I got prosciutto, just salami (the salami was tasty on its own). Would maybe try a different sandwich next time. They alsohave lots of drinks and other grocery items for sale. Service was friendly and paid street parking was easy to find. Read more
Here for a family wedding. I am from Florida, and my nephew was in charge of finding the best places for food and lunch was on... the hunt. We decided on sandwiches and he found Zoccoli's. We found street parking and headed inside. It was a busy place butit was quick and easy to order. I got the BLT with avocado. There is plenty of tables outside but we opted to go back to ourhotel to eat in the beautiful courtyard. I was so happy with my selection. The bacon was crispy and the tomato, lettuce andavocado were selected for the makings of the perfect combination. The rest of my family loved their sandwiches too. This isdefinitely a go-to sandwich shop. Btw- it's a little store too, so getting chips, chocolate or something else is an option. Read more
In Santa Cruz for a one night get-away, my fiance and I embarked on a hilarious and fun filled scavenger hunt. On our first... challenge, I noticed a line out the door of a Sandwich shop. Knowing that this is usually a sign of really good food, I notedthe name. Well, right after we finished the game, we drove right back to Zoccoli's! The line went very quickly and afterscanning the list of sandwiches, I ordered the Muffaletta and a Dill pickle. I was SO excited, just for the fact that they hadit on the menu!! The order & pay situation is a little confusing, but I didn't care; they make Muffaletta!! LOL. I paid andwaited for about 7-8 minutes and got my order. The sourdough bread was soft and had a great flavor. The meats/cheese and theolive tapenade were all fresh and plentiful. It was made almost as good as back home in Louisiana! The Dill pickle was crisp,fresh and so good. I can hardly wait to go back and try something else. This deli is the REAL DEAL. Read more
Great atmosphere, down to earth italian deli. If you're in from out of town it's at the end of the downtown area which is... perfect after a long walk of shopping. The order process is well executed (take a number) Prices are very reasonable,especially for Cali. Best of all, the food is excellent. Read more
Probably the best choice if you want sandwiches or casual Italian meals to go. A wide variety of sandwich choices and daily... Italian specials including spaghetti, lasagna, soups, etc. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is as expected andreliably good. A very safe choice in downtown Santa Cruz. Read more
