We had a superb lunch at the blue Heron recently. The food was beyond top notch in every way. I see others are saying it depends... on who the chef is that day. Both our service and food were outstanding. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is therestaurant was chilly. We were chilled and they had to bring a space heater over. And one of the staff told me this is notuncommon, that management doesn’t want to turn the heat up enough in The mornings, and The servers, to maintain their Ojoattire, are not allowed to put a sweater on. Ojo,Turn up the heat early and make it comfortable for your diners. however wecan’t wait to go back and we’ll just be sure we dress more warmly. Read more

The wait staff was very nice. However the food…. Probably a mistake ordering the ceviche in the middle of the desert but if... they are going to thaw out frozen shrimp and douse it in lime juice they shouldn’t even have it on the menu. It was reallybad. The main course we had higher expectations for as we both got steak - and I’m no chef but, the first concern was seeinghow much sauce the covered it in. Which is typically a tell tale sign of masking poor quality meat or a bad cook. The meat was also not fresh, way too much sauce all over. Just if anything they should get fresh meat and make a steak the way it should bemade. Really disappointing, was a bday dinner gone wrong. Really really upset about the experience and quality, for such a highprice point. Insane. Read more

The food was good, but not phenomenal considering the price. The grits were flavorless. The pork chop was well cooked but... under seasoned. However, my main issue was the absolute swarm of flies outside when the food arrived. It made the mealvirtually inedible because I had to use one hand to swat away the 20+ flies that were all over our food while we were trying toeat. This made cutting my pork chop an exercise in futility. The serve said this happens on Sundays because they don't haveenough time between brunch and dinner to kill off the flies. I recommend avoiding Sunday dinner here. Or eat inside and not onthe patio. Read more

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to try but so glad we did. My husband and I stayed as overnight guests, and of course... the convenience of coming here for dinner was perfect. We loved our meal!! Everything was plated nicely and food was delicious, including the desserts. Definitely recommend this restaurant to enhance your experience at the resort and truly relax on site! Disappointed with lunch but had a terrible breakfast! TL;DR Painfully Slow Service, Order does not fully arrive with the rest of... the meal, and coffee comes after you eat. If you’re staying at the resort, I recommend driving into Santa Fe. I ate lunchhere yesterday, and the service was extremely slow. We only ordered two appetizers, so they should not have been as slow as theywere. The food and drinks were good. It didn’t dull the excitement of the vacation. I went this morning for breakfast, and Idon’t think I have ever had a more negative experience from walking in the door. We walked in 20 minutes before closing for anhour, and the staff checked their watches and then escorted us to our table. We sit down and place water orders. When the waiterfinally arrived, we put our entire breakfast order in because of the time: 2 Coffee’s, 2 breakfast cocktails, and 2 breakfastentrees. One of the breakfast cocktails, a mimosa, came promptly, but the other cocktail, a Bloody Mary, was nowhere to befound. Our plates with our first water refill arrive after their 11am closing time. They forgot our toast and brought regularsausage when we asked for vegetarian. They also gave us a plain bagel and lox when we asked for an everything bagel and lox. Weasked for ketchup, salt and pepper and the missing toast after they sat everything down. The bagel and lox they set down weremeant for another table, so they took it away and replaced it with the correct bagel. I thought like the rest of the experiencethey were just absent minded and made it with the wrong bagel. We asked if the sausage was vegetarian, and they brushed it offwith a lack of reassurance that we ended up not eating it. We were about halfway through the meal when finally our coffeearrived! The first entree which had the toast was finished when the ketchup, salt an pepper arrive. They ask if we need anythingelse and we cancel the bloody Mary order. We ask for the check. The toast finally makes it to the ta Read more

The fish tacos were amazing; really sweet tasting in a good way. The sauce on the steak took away from the delicious seasonings... on it so I was a little disappointed with that. But it was good all in all. Read more

We ate at this restaurant when we had a four day, three night stay at Ojo Sante Fe Spa and Resort. Most of the time the food was... good and the servers were nice. It really depended on who the cook was for the time of day, as with a lot of places. I do wishthe honey was left off the cheese on the humus plate. The restaurant has great views if you are seated by a menu. Read more

I made reservations on open table for breakfast our first morning at the hotel. The restaurant cancelled my reservation after we... ate which made no sense. The restaurant was understaffed and underwhelming, the huevos rancheros were undercooked (hard potatoesand undercooked beans no meat). The waitress noticed I only ate the eggs off the top then offered me a smoothie which was kind(only reason this isn’t a 1). Pay attention to your final bill, they charged us another amount that wasn’t on the initialbill (added chorizo charge randomly). Read more
